VENUS SQUARE MARS
This aspect is a seat of inner tensions. The tension of the square gives us motivation. Squares are dynamic aspects that give us the drive to succeed. What begins as an inner problem is overcome or accepted, and then becomes a door to understanding.
Venus rules Love, beauty and relationships. Venus is aesthetic, artistic and romantic. Venus is also the protector and securer of money and self-worth. Mars is busy, hyper and action-oriented. Mars can certainly be combative, aggressive and too hasty for the amount of energy that is really required.
This aspect is just flat-out, aggressive Love. It's just too much, over-the-top and emotional. Keep in mind that Venus has everything to do with our self-worth because Venus naturally rules the Taurus (and the 2nd house) of self-worth, moral and values, which translates into our security both financially and emotionally. Mars squaring (challenging) this energy can make you act out in ways that are unbecoming to the person you want to be. I see this energy as insecurity with the opposite sex in its non-so finest hour.
This aspect will also use the opposite sex to get their way, even if it means using 'sex as a weapon'. That means using sex to fool someone, trick someone, use someone or abuse someone. Sex as a weapon is wrong.
Those with this aspect in their chart will lack social grace and refinement. I'll just put it this way, this aspect lacks class and can be crass. This aspect falling on a man or a woman is unattractive and uneasy for others to witness. It comes off strong and sets out to control others through sex, money or some other sort of strong human attraction.
Men who have this aspect in their chart are typically coarse, loud and offensive to most women. The women with this aspect in their natal chart will completely wear out a man with her emotional drama and neediness. Women with this aspect are emotionally tempermental.
Depending on the signs involved in this aspect, if Mars is the predominate planet, then it will look like 'rough play' and just horsing around and if Venus is the predominate planet in the aspect then it is emotional, needy and easily offended. When this aspect occurred on Monday, March 14, 2016, Mars was in Sagittarius and Venus was in Pisces, so with that aspect Mars dominated in Sagittarius and it was truly 'horseplay' and rough in the sign Sagittarius, which is represented by the centaur (half man, half horse). This horseplay can rise up on its hind legs prepared to box at their loved one with the front hooves. And for what? Now on Saturday, August 6, 2016 Mars is Sagittarius once again, due to a Retrograde that took place and is now squaring Venus in Virgo. Mars is once again in a stronger position with this aspect because Venus is in its weakest state in the sign of Virgo. Venus in Virgo is in its Fall, which means one does not have all of the tools necessary to do what needs to be done. This is like someone thrust into a management position without the knowledge, experience or skills necessary to do the job. Or it is like the 6th grader entering college. It's just out of place and the individual will need some extra help from somewhere else.
This aspect is overly sensitive, at the same time it is not sensitive to others. It's pretty selfish with emotions.
There is difficulty being patient with loved ones. You may be aggressive and irritable when others fail to keep up with your activities. This aspect can also make you equally impatient with yourself.
There are emotional problems with romance and most other relations with the opposite sex. An early marriage often results from this placement with those who have this aspect in their natal chart. There may be feelings of oppression or suppression in relationships.
Jealousy and resentment often accompany this placement. Now click the graphic for your Sun Sign below and go read today's Daily Horoscope, plus your Monthly, Yearly and Generational Horoscope.
