Writing a daily horoscope tailored to every single person on the planet would prove to be an impossible task simply because that would involve needing every single person's birth information (date, time and location). In order to write a horoscope for an entire population of people (all the people of one Sun Sign) we astrologers put the Sun Sign on the 1st house and then follow with the signs in order for each house thereafter.

Example: So if the Moon was in Virgo today you will be able to see which house is being affected for your Sun Sign by looking at which house is ruled by Virgo. See below for your Sun Sign.

Another example: Since Uranus is in Aries, then you will also be able to see which house is being affected for your Sun Sign by looking at which house is ruled by Aries.

If you have a personal Natal Chart then you will be able to see how a Virgo Moon will impact you personally just by looking at which house is ruled by Virgo in your Natal Chart. Same with all the other planets. Having said that, the planets affect us collectively as one sign and then also on a personal level due to our Natal Chart.

Daily horoscopes are written using the Moon because the Moon changes signs every 2 to 2-1/2 days, this in turn changes our moods and emotions from day to day, so naturally the Moon would affect on us a daily basis, so using the Moon to write daily horoscopes makes sense. So when I write the daily horoscopes on this site, you will see that I will write which house the Moon is moving through for your sign.

Monthly horoscopes are written using the Mercury, Venus, Mars and the Sun because these planets change every month or over the course of a couple of months. So using these planets to write monthly horoscopes makes sense. So when I write the monthly horoscopes on this site, you will see that I will write which house the plants are moving through for your sign.

Yearly horoscopes are written using Saturn and Jupiter because Jupiter will remain in a sign for one year and Saturn will remain in a sign for 2 to 2-1/2 years. So when I write the yearly horoscopes on this site, you will see that I will write which house the planets are moving through for your sign.

Long term horoscopes are written using the slower moving planets (generational planets) such as Pluto, Neptune and Uranus because they take many years to move through one sign so they will affect an entire generation of people over the course of sometimes 8 to 16 or so years. This is exactly why a certain generation acts a certain way and their beliefs are also very similar.

BELOW IS FOR WRITING HOROSCOPES FOR AN ENTIRE SIGN

NOTE NOTE NOTE --- You can apply the following to your Natal Chart simply by remembering your Rising Sign. Let's say you are a Capricorn with an Aries Rising, then the Capricorn section below will be for all Capricorn's on the planet (horoscopes). Your Rising Sign is the 1st house cusp. The Rising Sign is the sign coming over the horizon at the exact minute you were born. So if you are a Capricorn with an Aries Rising, then you were born during the calendar month of Capricorn and at that exact minute, Aries was coming over the horizon (1st house cusp). Cool huh? So I would follow the Capricorn description below for all Capricorn's on the planet as a population but for you personally, then you would read the Aries Rising because it would be more accurate to your Natal Chart.

Keep in mind there will be some of you with Natal Charts that have two house cusps with the same Sun Sign. That's because you have an "interception". That means you had another sign show up half way through a house so it throws the house cusps off. It's not a bad thing, it's just the way it is. If you have one house intercepted then the opposite house would be intercepted as well. It's very common and nothing to panic over but everyone ALWAYS has all 12 signs show up in the Natal Chart. It's just that an inteception can make it look like you are missing two signs when you are not, which is like having two signs that "fall through the cracks". The glyph for the seemingly missing signs are between two house cusps.
