MARS OPPOSING PLUTO
This aspect depicts conflict which, when resolved, results in growth. Oppositions show a tug of war between opposing forces. If they are resolved, then the oppositions become the backbone and strength of the chart.
It is important to understand that Mars is busy, hyper and action-oriented. Mars is assertive, aggressive and competitive, while Pluto is the higher octave of Mars. Pluto rules transformation through destruction, only to end up in reconstruction. Pluto is powerful and behaves like plutonium, where it completely destroys only to rebuild anew. Pluto levels one thing to cause something else to rise up out of the ashes, just like the phoenix-rising arises from the ashes. Pluto destructs in order to reconstruct and there is where the transformation takes place.
Mars and Pluto are two planets that deal very strongly with change. *Side note - Yes, Uranus deals strongly with change as well, but this is different. Pluto is a full-blown transformation (change) and Uranus is change 'as in' something different. So the goal between Mars and Pluto is not only to achieve change, but to make it entirely different and transformed into something else. Because Mars and Pluto are both natural rulers of Scorpio, who carries the motto, "I desire therefore I am" then personal desire is the key motive for change. Mars is more personal and Pluto takes it to a whole other level and affects an entire generation.
This aspect wants to achieve 'change' and 'win' at all costs no matter what it takes. Think about it, Mars rules competitive Aries and Pluto is the higher octave of Mars. This is why the change involved is not just mere change, it is a full-blown transformation in form or appearance.
The feelings are intense and there is a need to get a handle on them. After all, too much of a Good thing, isn't. Get those strong feelings under control to avoid attracting violence because this aspect is most definitely looking for a fight. At the most extreme negativity of this aspect, it can even turn sadistic or demonic. This aspect is not just looking for a fight, it is looking to annihilate and utterly destroy someone or something. Paybacks are hell!!! Ohhhhhhh, and when this aspect lands in a woman's chart, it will live up to the saying, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." Mars opposing Pluto is all out war and physical combat. This can also show up as crime, catastrophe or revolution. This aspect reveals a defiant attitude. This is likely a lack of control over aggressive tendencies and it is quite possible to alienate some people while asserting your own rights, or what you believe to be your rights.
When this aspect shows up in your Natal Chart or Solar Return you may either be the victim of violence or the perpetrator. This is a heightened desire to control and manipulate others, which results in even more resentment and anger. Someone is going to get hurt either spiritually, physically, emotionally or chemically.
You must evaluate the positive and negative aspects of any idea or plan and consider the values of compromise before taking any action, especially if your emotions are being stirred. This aspect is looking to get even. "Revenge is mine" saith the Lord. ~Romans 12:19 Or put another way, "Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God's wrath. For it is written: "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. So do not try or even attempt take what is God's.
Both Mars and Pluto are associated with sexual drive since these two planets are the co-rulers of Scorpio. With this aspect in opposition your sexual drive will be strongly affected and in some conflict. This can also look like rape, physical abuse, infidelity or even bullying. This aspect will also cause you to rehash old woundology that has just not healed.
You may be led to form extremely strong alliances, but it may as easily cause severe rifts in relationships. This aspect seeks to tear relationships apart and if you know this ahead of time, then you can do all you can not to be tempted into this world of anger, resentment, violence and paybacks. "Revenge is mine" saith the Lord.
The drive is to gain power over others, even during paybacks. This aspect is certain that you will encounter problems in your personal affairs because a personal planet is involved (Mars).
