This aspect is a seat of inner tensions. The tension of the square gives us motivation. Squares are dynamic aspects that give us the drive to succeed. What begins as an inner problem is overcome or accepted, and then becomes a door to understanding.

Mars is busy, hyper and action-oriented. Mars is assertive, aggressive and competitive, while Saturn rules stability and responsibility. It is also disciplined and cautious. Saturn rules the father, limitations and authority figures.

This aspect is the classic contradiction of wanting to push forward (Mars) yet feeling held back (Saturn). That is because Mars is impulsive and aggressive, while Saturn is self-limiting and restrictive. It will take some work to control this energy in order to get it to a workable level of success. You may feel action-oriented to do something and then suddenly talk yourself out of it because of this or that.

Due to the fact that this is aggressive energy, it will be important to take care when doing any work where there could potentially be an accident. Take the proper precautions. Wear safety glasses, hold on to the handrail, etc. This is not a warning but yet, it is. I'm leaning more toward occupational hazards because Saturn naturally rules the 10th house of career and Mars can be rather impulsive and too quick to pay attention to the necessary safety details.

Mars can be rather harsh and difficult, which can lead to broken bones because Saturn rules the bones. It also rules the skin and teeth. Saturn also rules the military and Mars is the warrior so there may be some issues with military personnel during this square and its 'orb of influence'.
