The Moon in Sagittarius trines Mars in Leo at exactly 12:10 AM EDT. Lunar aspects have an 'orb of influence' of 12 to 14 hours 'before' and 'after' their exactness.
The Moon in Sagittarius conjunct Jupiter in Sagittarius at exactly 4:11 PM EDT. Lunar aspects have an 'orb of influence' of 12 to 14 hours 'before' and 'after' their exactness.
The Moon in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces at exactly 9:31 PM EDT. Lunar aspects have an 'orb of influence' of 12 to 14 hours 'before' and 'after' their exactness.
Today there are three (3) completely different aspects to the Moon in Sagittarius, which reminds me of 'The Two Wolves'.
The Moon trine Mars reveals assertion in just the right amounts where you are able to motivate yourself because you have the confidence to do what it takes to get the job done. You are able to recognize opportunities and make the most of them. In other words, you can rise to a challenge. This aspect has strong feelings, which are controlled and constructive.
The Moon conjunct Jupiter reveals a very giving and generous emotional spirit. There is a desire to do good in the world with a generous heart. This aspect would be typical of someone who comes into a lot of money and ends up giving it all away. There is a strong concern with the social welfare of others but more commonly with those closer to home. It seems as though this aspect would have more of a global impact but it is closer to home since the Moon rules the home and Jupiter is the higher octave of the Moon.
Then there is the Moon squaring Neptune, which is prone to heavy moods and bouts of depression. Often times this aspect will leave you without a grip on reality and often times sinking further and further into fantasy and imagination. In other words, this aspect runs away with the imagination. If you can literally picture a spider web and visualize it loaded with emotions, that is what a web of emotions looks like. If you are mature enough, then through time you have probably learned how to pull out the softer side of yourself so that you can channel your emotions constructively, rather than destructively.
Back to 'The Two Wolves', which is often misattributed to the Native American, mostly the Cherokee (my people), but it is actually a popular story written by the Christian Reverend Billy Graham in 1978. It goes like this ---> A grandfather uses a metaphor of two wolves fighting within him to explain his inner conflicts to his grandson. When his grandson asks which wolf wins, the grandfather answers, "The one you feed."
So back to the beginning of this horoscope and we have three (3) very distinct lunar aspects tugging on our emotions. Which lunar aspects wins? The one you feed.
