MOON CONJUNCT JUPITER
A conjunction or conjunct symbol is an aspect that emphasizes and brings together the energies of the planets involved. Conjunctions focus and intensify the energy much like a laser beam on an exact point in your chart. These planets have their own uniqueness and when tag-teamed their energy is intensified even more.
It is important to understand that the Moon rules the home and the family. It also rules the emotions, feelings, sensitivities and moods, while Jupiter is happy-go-lucky and optimistic. The Moon is emotional, while Jupiter is lucky, adventurous and abundant. Jupiter is very benevolent, generous and philanthropic. Jupiter rules religion and higher education.
When this aspect appears, it reveals a very giving and generous emotional spirit. There is a desire to do well in the world and have a generous heart. This aspect would be typical of someone who comes into a lot of money and ends up giving it all away. There is a strong concern with the social welfare of others but more commonly with those closer to home. It seems as though this aspect would have more of a global impact but it is closer to home since the Moon rules the home and Jupiter is the higher octave of the Moon.
The desire to impact others may also drive the individual to political ambitions to protect the 'homeland' so they can do the most good to carry out their generous plans. An individual under the influence of this aspect could easily enlist the cooperation of others so they can make maximum impact and make better use of resources. Nothing seems to far-fetched for the individual with this aspect in their chart.
If this aspect is afflicted such as by a square or opposition, it could lead self- indulgence for personal gain. This would be like someone who embezzles money from an organization where they are a trusted member. This affliction could show gluttonous behavior that leads to weight gain. If this aspect is afflicted it could also produce an individual who believes they are God-like and untouchable.
