In the future, every so often, I'm going to be asking you, if you remember the day I told you about today. Huh? Today is the day that Saturn sextile Neptune 'exact'. While it came into the 'orb of influence' back on December 19, 2018 (a little over a month ago), it is now exact today. This aspect has a long shelf-life, meaning we will be feeling this aspect strongly up until it is out of the 'orb of influence' which will not be until December 20, 2019. You saw that typed correctly. I typed December 20, 2019. So think about all of the birth dates between December 19, 2018 up to and including December 20, 2019. which will be one full year of birth dates with this aspect present in the Solar Return. Now granted some of us will have this aspect closer in degrees that others, such as those who have birth dates today because the aspect will be exact. This aspect will have a couple of more dates with exact hits in June 2019 and November 2019.

Think of it this way, anytime Saturn is involved, then self-discipline is required. Anytime Neptune is involved, then imagination is present. This aspect requires focus and self-discipline where imagination and creativity are being used. Sounds like a painter, or a photographer, or an architect, I could go on and on. Actually, this aspect reminds me of Steven Spielberg who has this aspect in his natal chart. During the making of the movie, 'Jaws', which was the second movie he directed, he had mounds of obstacles shooting this movie 'on the water'. It would have taken someone like him with Saturn (structure and discipline) sextile Neptune (water and the Ocean) to overcome all of the issues the production was experiencing. As it turned out, the movie made him an international superstar among directors. He held the focus amongst the choppy waters because no director ever really shot 'that much film' on real water, but Stephen Spielberg did. Everything was stacked against him, but he held his 'focused imagination' and it paid off.

Since we are all going to have this present this year, then it is going to take some painstaking discipline and practice to maintain our 'focused imagination'. Saturn will not allow anything to obstruct its path while Neptune is creating. This reminds me of the hermit painter who steps behind closed doors and locks him/herself in a room for days on end. Let's not forget the 'high standards' involved with Saturn. By nature Saturn is a workaholic, not an alcoholic, which would be a Neptune influence. Saturn is also a perfectionist because it is 'in charge' and everyone has to answer to Saturn energy. Saturn knows that the blame rests on the one in charge of the troops, so Saturn is not looking for blame, it is looking for praise and praise comes when 'high standards' are achieved. The toughest part of this aspect is that Saturn sextile Neptune also expects others to rise to the challenge of meeting the 'high standard'. Shape up or ship out. Literally!

So folks, high standards are going to be required from you this year. This will be interesting to see how the younger generation handles this energy. If you know what I mean. It will also be interesting to see how the children born during this time period utilize this energy. They will not only want to achieve high standards, they will expect it.
