This is an easy aspect showing cooperation between two planets which leads to opportunity. It has a positive blending effect on the planets. Sextiles are considered a "soft" or "easy" aspects that reflect the planets involved. They have a way of delivering you an opportunity. It's as if the phone is ringing or there is a knock at the door. Again, it is your choice to answer the opportunity. Opportunities can reveal themselves under the strangest of circumstances.
Anytime Saturn is involved, then self-discipline is required. Anytime Neptune is involved, then imagination is present. This aspect requires focus and self-discipline where imagination and creativity are being used.
This aspect reminds me of Steven Spielberg who has this aspect in his natal chart. During the making of the movie, 'Jaws', which was the second movie he directed, he had mounds of obstacles shooting this movie 'on the water'. It would have taken someone like him with Saturn (structure and discipline) sextile Neptune (water and the Ocean) to overcome all of the issues the production was experiencing. As it turned out, the movie made him an international superstar among directors. He held the focus amongst the choppy waters. Everything was stacked against him, but he held his 'focused imagination'.
Think of the 'focused imagination' that a painter, a musician or a dancer has to have in order to reach their intended goal. Saturn is a very ambitious and hard-working sign. Hours of practice, hours of creativity and hours of production until the masterpiece is finally unveiled. Saturn will not allow anything to obstruct its path while Neptune is creating.
