MOON SEXTILE MERCURY
This is an easy aspect showing cooperation between two planets which leads to opportunity. It has a positive blending effect on the planets. Sextiles are considered a "soft" or "easy" aspects that reflect the planets involved. They have a way of delivering you an opportunity. It's as if the phone is ringing or there is a knock at the door. Again, it is your choice to answer the opportunity. Opportunities can reveal themselves under the strangest of circumstances.
It is important to understand that the Moon rules the home and the family. It also rules the emotions, feelings, sensitivities and moods, while Mercury rules the reasoning and conscious mind that forms conclusions. The Moon is emotional, while Mercury is intellectual.
This aspect has long lasting memories. It doesn't matter what it is, this aspect will remember it. Since this aspect carries the ability to retain information, it makes for great mental ability and record keeping. The individual who has this aspect in their chart will likely collect memorabilia or may be attracted to nostalgia since it is about memories and since the Moon rules the home and family. Antiques may also be an attraction.
There is an attraction to subject matter concerning health, fitness or daily routine since Mercury rules both the third house of communication and the 6th house of health. Personal hygiene is of utmost importance with a high need to be clean and neat. This aspect is the epitome of the term, "neat freak."
There is an opportunity to express feelings and thoughts well. Decisions are based on a blend of heart and mind. This aspect reveals a thoughtful and sensitive disposition. Emotions are in tune with intellect, and there is a need to be useful to others by sharing knowledge. This aspect conveys thoughts in a simple and concise way. Intellectually curious and well read, this makes for an interesting conversationalist.
While having a positive and happy disposition, this aspect also brings sensitivity that is felt when others are being dishonest or insincere.
