MERCURY CONJUNCT URANUS
A conjunction or conjunct symbol is an aspect that emphasizes and brings together the energies of the planets involved. Conjunctions focus and intensify the energy much like a laser beam on an exact point in your chart. These planets have their own uniqueness and when tag-teamed their energy is intensified even more.
Mercury is the planet of the intellect, the reasoning mind and mental abilities, while Uranus is the planet of a sudden change in circumstance, much like a lightning strike. Uranus also represents innovation, invention and independence. It literally strikes out and strikes out on its own, like lightning. Uranus is unconventional and electrifying; thereby bringing about sudden change in an instant, which can show up as being erratic. You can pretty much expect the unexpected when Uranus is involved. Uranus is also the higher octave of Mercury, so this takes the energy to a whole new level, especially in a conjunction where the two planets involved intensify the energies of each other.
This is the mark of 'mental genius' and 'original thought' as Mercury rules the mind and Uranus takes it to its highest level. This placement gives a lightning quick mind and sensible wit. This aspect also gives flashes (like lightning) of intuitive insight and foresight. Mental telepathy is also present with this aspect. This aspect is perfect for those studying astrology, especially if it shows up in the natal chart. If this aspect shows up as a transit, then it will help astrological study and understanding to a higher degree while it is present. The individual with this aspect in their chart is able to tap the Universal Mind for sight and guidance. Read more in my Astrology Aspects eBook - click the graphic below!
