Tomorrow, Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 7:47 PM EDT there is an Annular New Moon Solar Eclipse (aka Ring of Fire) in Gemini at 00 degrees 20 minutes. What does the Annular New Moon Solar Eclipse mean? I understand how this long worded eclipse can be confusing so let's break it down word for word. Annular means a ring around the circumference of the Sun is still present and glowing like a gold ring in the sky. New Moon means that the Sun and Moon are in the same sign and same degree, which in this case will be Gemini. Solar is another word for the Sun. And eclipse means an obscured view of something that results in darkness. A Solar Eclipse occurs when the Sun, Moon and Earth are lined up and the Moon 'temporarily' blocks the view of the Sun because it is situated right smack dab between the Sun and the Earth. It's not like the Sun disappeared, but it sure does 'appear' that way. But how can the Moon block the Sun when we know the Moon is tiny and the Sun is so huge. It's just the angle folks. The Moon is only about 235,000 miles away from Earth, so in comparison it's pretty much like standing behind a pole, which is enough to block your view of everything else behind it. Cool huh?

This Eclipse is pretty dang special because it is cozied right up next to lucky, expansive, fat, juicy and adventurous Jupiter. You just can't beat it folks! New Moons are always significant because they are representative of a new cycle and what this particular New Moon Solar Eclipse basically says is, 'new direction'. This Solar Eclipse is directional and I'll explain why 'direction' makes so much sense. DAY-YANG, my scientific mind is just firing on all cylinders because there is so much I want to say about this. You see Gemini is a very fast moving sign; it is jittery, quick and mercurial. After all, it is ruled by the planet Mercury. By the way, Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury. Gemini rules the nervous system. Now this is interesting because when it comes to the nervous system, it is important to wrap your brain around the fact that the human body is electric. I could go on and on and on here about the SA Node in the heart, pacemakers, electric shock, currents, water in the body, acupuncture, protons, neutrons, electrons, etc. The nervous system is powered by what is called, 'potential'. If you have been coming to this website long enough then you know that the word potential is my least favorite word in the world because it just means you haven't done it yet. BUT, if we are talking about the nervous system then that's a whole other story. Potential on the other hand when speaking of the nervous system means there is a state of tension or pressure happening that is capable of doing work. So when two electrically charged situations occur and are brought together then an electric current occurs. Hang with me folks because this gets super interesting. When we are talking about the human body, there is a situation called, "action potential" where there either is or isn't a change in electric potential. In other words, a nerve either fires or it doesn't. It's not like you start your car and you can hear the engine trying to start. I'm telling you, the bodies electric system either fires or it doesn't. BAM! That is action 'potential'.

So here you have this planetary influence called a New Moon Solar Eclipse that is all about action potential. I'm telling you this solar eclipse in Gemini (like this Gemini writing this) is firing on all cylinders. Not only because it is in the sign of the nervous system itself but because it's getting a sextile lightning bolt strike from Uranus in Aries. BAM! Uh wait a minute, didn't I say in the above paragraph that Uranus was the higher octave of Mercury? Yepsie doodle, which is why Uranus is associated with electricity and lightning. Oh this is so damn fun I can hardly stand it! And let's not forget that eclipses ALWAYS take place near one of moon's nodes. In this case, the Sun, Moon and South Node will all be in Gemini. That eclipse will be snuggled right up against the South Node. Well this can be kinda scary since the South Node is the hole in the chart or the drain or the bottomless pit but wait! Planets at 00 degrees are basically karma free. Did you know that? This is like a get out of jail free card! Talk about a new, New, NEW beginning. With a lightning strike from Uranus zapping this Solar Eclipse, it's almost like the Universe is taking out the paddles (defibrillator) and jump starting you. I LOVE IT! That's why eclipses . . especially this eclipse is directional. It has electric current written all over it and whatever it takes for you to change direction is what it will take. Now, some of you may experience that voltage strike on the day of the eclipse (Sunday, May 20th). Some of you may experience it next week. And some of you may experience it some time later . . within the next 5 to 6 months. That really sounds like a load because it sounds like I'm covering all of my bases to be right (I'm laughing right now) but seriously folks, a shock treatment is in store and it's a Good electric shock treatment.
