What is a Natal Chart?
The Full Moon is in Capricorn until tomorrow morning, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 12:37 AM EDT where it will then move into Aquarius.
**NOTE -- The 'Quickie Daily Horoscope' is tailored to each Sun Sign, while the 'Extended Daily Horoscope' is just this page and is intended for all 12 Sun Signs to further and deepen your astrological study.
The Full Moon is when the Moon opposes the Sun at the exact same minute and degree. On Thursday, June 28, 2018 the Moon in Capricorn opposes the Sun in Cancer at exactly 12:53 AM EDT at 06 degrees 28 minutes. Download the 'Full Moon in Capricorn' chart wheel for this aspect and lay it over your Natal Chart or Solar Return, line up the Sun Signs to see where this aspect is affecting your chart. When the Moon opposes the Sun, this is your 6 month check-up of the New Moon in Capricorn that occurred back on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. The New Moon represents 'fresh starts' and 'new beginnings' while the Full Moon is your 'approximate' 6th month check-up to that 'thing' you began back then. You should be well on your way to make that 'thing' a reality, but we get pulled into an identity crisis (the Sun) and an emotional tug-of-war (the Moon).
While the Moon in and of itself is emotional, when in the sign of Capricorn it becomes a sobering Moon. In other words, it will sober up your emotions FAST! All the sudden you stop crying like someone slapped you in the face and you got it together (like in the movies). This Capricorn Moon serves us to 'sober up' our emotions and get down right serious with our Life. This Moon is like Loretta Castorini (played by Cher) in the movie, "Moonstruck" where she slaps Ronny Cammareri across the face (played by Nicholas Cage) after he tells her that he Loves her. Loretta slaps Ronny and says, "SNAP OUT OF IT!" She was sobering up his emotions. That was a Capricorn Moon moment! Welcome to my world folks, I have Capricorn Moon too, like Loretta Castorini. This Full Moon in Capricorn experience has a very sobering impact. It can sober up your emotions and cause you to think straight when you or someone else starts falling off the deep end. This Capricorn Moon isn't suspicious, it's skeptical. Big difference folks because the emotions that drive suspicion and skepticism are not the same. This Full Moon's intention is to sober you up so you can get serious about that New Moon you began back on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Did you forget about that? Did you lose your focus? Did you lose your way? Did that New Moon have something to do with a New Year's resolution? It's not too late to get yourself back on track, sober up and get serious about your Life again. DO IT! We are now half way through 2018. There is still time to get straight and fly right.
My 'intention' during that New Moon back on January 16th had everything to do with yoga, which I began Yoga Teacher Training just after mid-January and completed the training at the end of May 2018. I hit my mark!
The Sun is testosterone (masculine) and the Moon is estrogen (feminine). So here we have a tug of war between mommy and daddy or two opposing energies that are strongly masculine and strongly feminine. You may feel this tug-of-war in a relationship or within yourself. Remember this, "Go ask your mom." "Go ask your dad." How frustrating! I always wanted to scream, "Someone make a damn decision!" Cancer rules the mother and Capricorn rules the father. Cancer is the nurturer and Capricorn is the disciplinarian. Cancer says, "Oh baby, come here and let me give you a hug." Capricorn says, "Bend over, I'm taking off my belt and I'm swatting your ass." Cancer is sensitive and Capricorn is insensitive. Cancer is intuitive and Capricorn is skeptical. Cancer is nurturing and Capricorn disciplines. Cancer identifies emotionally and Capricorn identifies materialistically. Cancer rules inside the home (domestic affairs) and Capricorn rules outside the home (career and status in the community).
This is 'not normally' a favorable moon position because the moon is in its detriment in Capricorn, but this Moon has two sextiles impacting it. One coming from Jupiter and the other coming from Neptune. A planet is in its detriment when it is in the opposite sign that it naturally rules. So the moon naturally rules Cancer, but it is in Capricorn, it's opposite sign. BOOM! That means this Full Moon is in its detriment. So its great that this Moon has two sextiles impacting it. Capricorn is all business and no monkey business. "Grab yourself by the bootstraps and straighten up. And wipe that damn smile off your face!" Capricorn is not just the drill sargeant of the zodiac, it is the 5-Star General. While Cancer rules the homeland, Capricorn protects the homeland.
If you are ever wondering when the last time a planet was in a sign, look to the left navigation column and you will see several links for calendars. There are planetary calendars for your viewing pleasure.
