The Moon in Taurus is squaring (challenging) your 10th house public life. This house also rules fame, notoriety, occupation, career, ambition, government, military, chief executives, business life, goals, ranks, political position, status, standing in the public eye, position in society. It shows your standing in the community and social status. It can reflect your attitude to parenting.

This Taurus Moon naturally rules "self-worth," which means how much you value yourself. This isn't about how much someone else values you, it's the other way around. It's very important for Leo to remember that wherever you are, it is there that the Sun shines because Leo is naturally ruled by the Sun. When you think about it this is a very big deal because it is precisely the Sun that gives Life to everything. We have to have the Sun to live. You should be taking your role on the planet more seriously, but then again not too seriously that you end up outshining yourself and become a pompous and arrogant individual. Take things seriously enough to look at the situation lightly, laughingly and lovingly because you naturally rule the 5th house of pleasure, children and creativity. Remember, as I always remind you . . . you are supposed to be the epitome of FUN! It is this lunar influence that may give you a strong indication of where you are stuck, firmly planted and where you just refuse to budge.

Since we will experience a New Moon in Taurus on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 12:13 AM EDT at 26 degrees 56 minutes (okay, let's call it 27 degrees), I want to set you up with an understanding of Taurus energy. The Moon just entered Taurus this morning at 3:02 AM EDT, so you see, by Monday morning at 12:13 AM EDT, it will have reached 26 degrees 56 minutes (27 degrees). We are in this Taurus energy all weekend long setting ourselves for that moment in time. The New Moon in Taurus is when we want to begin a new campaign with ourselves having to do with our own self-worth, which translates into our checkbook. Self-worth has everything to do with our morals and values (what we value), which dictates what we accept or settle for as a salary, earned income, personal money and personal possessions. Interesting huh? This also dictates how we feel about sex. That's right folks, this is our personal feeling about sex (self-worth) and what is really in our head because the foundation is morals and values. So here is the set-up. This Taurus Moon kinda gets a bad rap. Taurus is often called, "stubborn" when all they really are is "fixed" and are usually clear about what they want. The fact that Taurus is represented by the placid firmly planted bull I think contributes to the misnomer. But it is also represented by the melodious cow who also seems to stand in the same place for long periods of time. It's tough to move a bull (unless you piss it off by poking it with a stick) and it's tough to move a cow (unless your startle it and cause the entire herd to stampede). With respect to the house listed above in paragraph two for all Leo's on the planet and the house ruled by Taurus in your personal natal chart, you might want to ask yourself where do I need to be poked with a stick or startled in order to get me to mooooooooove? Why does it have to come to that?
