TODAY IS THE NEW MOON IN LEO! The nutshell of a Leo Moon is that there is a very strong desire for self-improvement. It's not about being perfect. Self-improvement and perfection are two different things. This New Moon has an 'orb of influence' of right at about two weeks, although the impact will be for an entire year. This is because there will not be another New Moon in Leo until August 2, 2016. Re-read yesterday's horoscope for added insight. Think self-improvement, self-improvement, self-improvement. Leo energy has the drive, endurance, motivation and willpower to whatever it is to the next level of improvement.

For all Gemini's, this impacts your 3rd house of communication, writing, mental abilities, lower education from 1st to 12th grade, early learning, immediate environment, short journeys, local travel and travel within your own country. It also rules neighbors, siblings and extended siblings such as cousins, nieces and nephews, which is the house that Gemini naturally rules. I also want to stress that you study the house in your personal natal chart that is ruled by Leo as well. If your 2nd house (in your personal natal) of self-worth and personal income is ruled by Leo, then the self-improvement would be in this house. So yes, there are two houses to consider here, the house as an an entire sign (3rd house) and the house ruled by Leo in your personal natal chart. Leo is a very proud sign, so make certain that you are not too proud to improve this house or that you are not so proud that you are braggadocious and arrogant. Even a bragging and arrogant attitude needs self-improvement. Also keep in mind that Leo is naturally ruled by the Sun and we cannot survive without the Sun. If your temperament is quick and full of piss and vinegar, then admit to yourself that you have an issue and improve upon it. This New Moon in Leo is not the Moon that you want to kid yourself because even though New Moon's are wonderful for 'new beginnings' you can and will get humbled if the Universe feels it is necessary in order for you to have that new beginning and fresh start. There is nothing more attractive than an individual who is humble and can look and laugh at their own shortcomings. Not laugh in the sense of ignoring and shrugging off, but laugh and admit that change is in order. The Sun in Leo trine Uranus in Aries aspect that we are currently experiencing (see yesterday's horoscope) has a huge component to recognizing your shortcomings. This is just awesome 'self-improvement' energy. Cram this in your head over the next two weeks during this 'orb of New Moon influence' so you can make that shift in consciousness that you have been needing and by all means, stop kidding yourself. If it's always someone else's fault, then it probably isn't. OUCHY!
