The Moon in Pisces is squaring (challenging) your 4th house of home and family. It describes your roots, your heritage and your private life. This house also rules land, property, residences, domestic affairs, psychological foundations, biological inheritance and place of abode.

This is a very interesting day to say the least with a Void of Course Moon in Pisces and then Venus turning Retrograde in Gemini. First we have the Moon in Pisces which will be Void of Course from 11:50 AM EDT until 11:43 PM EDT. That's a full 12 hours of chasing your tail and swimming in circles or swimming against the stream. Pisces which rules the past and that 12th house of self-undoing, skeletons in the closet and what you don't want others to see or know about you. This energy causes a lot of pouting and sulking, which is evidenced through the pouty puffy fish lips. Either the individual is remembering the past, talking over the past with someone else or they are rehashing and throwing it up to someone close. Now granted, this could happen on any given day, I get that, BUT it is the feeling (the energy) that makes scratching the bones so sharp. And remember, this is deep energy because Pisces rules the Ocean and we all know how sharp fish bones can be, which makes it more emotional. It is important to note that Pisces is a changeable sign (mutable), which means it fishtails a bit from one side to the next. Kinda like a fish flopping around on a dry dock. Now this should not be held against the Pisces or the other mutable (changeable) signs, which are Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius because these four signs happen to be the signs that finish up with the duties that are common to the season and begin to prepare for the change in the next season. It's a real gift to be able to be involved in two seasons and relate to them both.

Think about it -- Pisces finishes Winter and begins Spring, Gemini finishes Spring and begins Summer, Virgo finishes up Summer and begins the Fall and Sagittarius finishes the Fall and begins Winter. That's why these signs are mutable (changeable). That's why these signs can go either way. Mitt Romney is accused of being a flip-flopper but folks, he's a Pisces, it is what we should expect. A mutable sign understands this side and well heck, understands that side too. The problem is having to choose a side. And for all you changeable signs, there is nothing wrong with being changeable. And for the rest of you who are fixed or cardinal signs, don't act like you don't have these four signs in your personal natal chart because you do! So here we have this 12 hour changeable energy that is flip-flopping the conversation all over the place and dredging up the past. Then we have Venus in Gemini (another mutable sign) going Retrograde today at 23° 59" at precisely at 10:33 AM EDT and it will remain in Retrograde motion until June 27, 2012. In fact, the planet rolls through a set of degrees (which is the first passing) during its Direct motion. Then it rolls backward over those same degrees (which is the second passing) during its Retrograde motion. Then it rolls forward again over those same degrees (which is the third passing) when it returns to Direct motion again. Oh God is sooooo Good because we not only get a second chance to fix or right something, we get three shots at it. Retrogrades are do-overs, they here to serve us so that we can 'right' ourselves before progressing forward.

In this case we have Venus Retrograde. Venus represents Love and beauty, therefore these two areas of our Life slow down and basically take a back seat. Old relationships may suddenly reappear, proper diet and exercise may be put on the back burner and basic beauty and hygiene regimens may not seem as important. Incidentally, this is NOT the time to have plastic surgery since it is a beauty business. There is just an overall lack of appreciation for all things that represent Love and beauty. This is not a Good time to shop for new clothes.

The feelings of Love are not as apparent as they once were during Venus retrograde. If there is unfinished business with a Loved one or a former relationship, the relationship or issue may resurface. If you are involved in a court battle and you are looking for a settlement, watch for a slow down because Venus naturally rules Libra in the 7th house of contractual relationships, marriage and business partnerships.

Venus retrograde re-surfaces and re-ignites unfinished business with past relationships or re-hashes issues with current relationships. During Venus Retrograde any new relationships developed over this time can feel like de'ja'vu, which in astrological interpretation is the recurrence of a past-Life relationship that was significant to us.

Venus Retrograde is a time when issues with Love and/or relationships needs to be settled once and for all. When Venus takes us "back" to the past, it is a time to clear the past and grow exponentially as a result of that relationship or Love, whether or not that 'Love' is still with us. It does not necessarily mean a reconnection or reconciliation but then again, it could mean just that. Still, it does not mean that you have to sleep with ex again just because you ran into each other.

During Venus Retrograde those who are already coupled up may suddenly become too busy for the relationship as they have better things to do with their time. Those who are single will learn more about what they need and desire in relationships than they have in the recent past.

Clarity in Love and relationships for those who are single is the end result of Venus Retrograde. And for everyone, our relationship with money during Venus Retrograde is also significant because how we utilize money reveals our true self-worth. Let's not forget that not only does Venus rules Libra and the 7th house but Venus also rules Taurus and the 2nd house. So there is a direct relationship here with money, Love, relationships, vanity and attractions.

Taken one step further, this Venus placement happens to be in Gemini, which is the flirt and fickle one in relationships. Gemini is also a heavy fluctuator when it comes to handling money. This is because Gemini innately knows that they can always make more money. There is always more where that came from, which makes it rare to find a Gemini who is truly down and out. Heck, the Gemini will just go make more money. It's not like they are trying to regrow an amputated limb, it's just money and there is always more out there to be made.

Having said that, this period of time with Venus in fickle Gemini is designed to bring us backward through the degrees, not to rehash but redo our take on relationships, committments, self-worth and our relationship with money. This can easily be a time for an individual to get their beauty and physical mojo back but NOT TO DO any plastic surgery or drastic appearance changes unless it is lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise. I made certain that I colored my roots before today. Yep, I have that whole Statue of Liberty crown 'gray thing' going on like my Mama Bear.
