The Aquarius Moon is moving through your 1st house of identity and how other's see you. This house also rules the personality, your attitude, how you see the world, how you look, appearances, your worldly outlook, and self-awareness and how you respond. It includes the self, ego, anima, projected image, expression of inner motivation, soul purpose, initial approach to life and your aura. It's an action packed day, but if you have been keeping up with the 2014 Major Planetary Events Calendar then you already knew this. This New Moon in Aquarius has you moving at a record pace, almost like lightning striking. It's like you are putting out fires and starting fires, where you are putting a stop to one thing in order to get something else going. It's wonderful. You just keep up the fast pace. You are the reformer of the zodiac and now it is time to re-invent and re-form yourself.

Astrologically speaking, this is a busy day. We are still under the 'orb of influence' of the New Moon in Aquarius that occurred yesterday afternoon. Keep in mind all New Moon's have an impact for an entire year on the house being affected and you have two weeks following the New Moon to hammer down and solidify the influence. Ba-BayYam! The New Moon occurred yesterday, January 30 2014 and the two week hammer down period takes us straight up to the Full Moon in Leo that will occur on Friday, February 14, 2014. See that? Two weeks! Then two weeks from the Full Moon there will be another New Moon but that one will be in the next sign (Pisces). Ebb and flow, ebb and flow. Lah-dee-dah, Lah-dee-dah. Astrology is such a cool little dance and still allows for your free will. The planets will dance and what you do with the energy and information is always up to you. So, you can sit on your thumbs or you can be an active participant in what occurs making right choices. If you do nothing then the Universe will have to take it upon itself to make decisions for you. Nothing wakes us up like panic and pressure but it does not have to come to that. The more you 'right' yourself, the easier everything becomes. Remember, Astrology is a map and all you have do is follow the signs. ™ 

This morning Mercury will leave Pisces and enter Aquarius, which is why the timestamp on today's Astrology Chart Wheel is 9:30 AM EST. You can see Mercury in Pisces at 00 degrees. Also today, Venus in Capricorn leaves it Retrograde status at 3:49 PM and turns Direct. When you look at today's Astrology Chart Wheel you will see that Venus in Capricorn with an "S". From the blue box below, you can also see this. I also put in the blue box below that the "S" means "Stationary". We have Stationary Retrograde and Stationary Direct. Since Venus in Capricorn is going Direct today that "S" means that Venus in Capricorn is Stationary Direct. That means it is literally sitting there shifting gears preparing to move forward again. I like to compare the shift between Direct to Retrograde and Retrograde back to Direct to shifting the gears on a car. Before you go in reverse (retrograde) you have to stop the car completely and shift gears. Then you can go backward (retrograde). When you want to go forward again, you stop the car completely and shift gears again back to forward (direct). So the "S" today represents that shifting of gears. Also today, Jupiter in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn. An opposition can be a tug-of-war but it doesn't have to be. And if you are in a tug-of-war and want to stop, all you have to do is let go. An opposition should be like the teeter-totter (see-saw) on the playground. No one will get hurt as long as no one jumps off and slams the other person to the ground. It's a dance of energy between two opposite forces. The great thing about opposite forces is that there is an attraction that can work. Magnet and steel. Protons and electrons. Oil and vinegar (yum, especially olive oil and balsalmic vinegar). Opposites can work, so when it comes to oppositions, you need to remember this in Astrology because it can work. The problem arises when you start tugging at the rope or jump off the see-saw. This opposition between Jupiter and Pluto has been taking place since Jupiter moved into Cancer back in June 2013 and will last until July 2014. The only thing is right now it is an 'exact opposition'. This opposition between Cancer and Pluto can create such an extreme desire for wealth that there will be a temptation to gain wealth at any means. Oh no you don't my little mentators . . make certain you 'right' yourself and stay on the 'right' path. Don't act like you don't know what's wrong is wrong. Ambition can be disguised in many ways. There are many wolfs in sheeps clothing out there and you do not want to be one of them. If you aren't a wolf, then you won't be attracted to wolf behavior and then you won't be tempted to run with that pack. You have to be it on some level to attract it, so keep your desires clear and clean.

The Sun is also quincunx (inconjunct) Jupiter today, which is also a challenge, just not a hard one like the opposition. A quincunx between the Sun and Jupiter makes it hard to integrate and work together. This aspect is merely asking you to change something or readjust in order to make something work. That's pretty much it. It's like shifting your butt in your chair and it's all better. It could even be something as simple as taking the rock out of your shoe. Change or adjust in order to move forward. A hesitation or temporary stop does not mean something isn't working, it means you need to change or adjust. Sometimes the quick fix for a quincunx just means you need moderation and pace in your Life. Pace yourself folks!
