There are 30 degrees in each sign and they don't always start on a house cusp at 00 degrees and end at 29 degrees 59 minutes at the next house cusp. Sometimes (which is most often) a Sun Sign will begin half way through one house and end its 30 degrees half way into the next house. Count those notches because each notch represents a degree. Remember, the chart is read counter-clockwise so you would have to count the degrees counter-clockwise for each sign.

This 2nd chart wheel distinctly shows all 360 notches (looks like notches on a ruler) that represents every single degree. Go ahead, count them, there are 360 of them.
