The Cancer Moon is moving through your 1st house of identity and how other's see you. This house also rules the personality, your attitude, how you see the world, how you look, appearances, your worldly outlook, and self-awareness and how you respond. It includes the self, ego, anima, projected image, expression of inner motivation, soul purpose, initial approach to life and your aura. Take special note that this first house rules your soul's purpose and your inner motivation.

The great thing about knowing when the Moon is overly-emotional is that it does give you a firmer control over your emotions. It's amazing how that happens. If you know it's an emotional time then you have no excuse. You know how to channel this 'feeling' energy into something productive. You may retreat into your shell (home) and cook, clean, bake or reorganize your space. You can use this alone time to do these type of moving meditations. If you find yourself overly-emotional then it is best to be alone rather than take it out on those you Love. This is the perfect time for using this intuitive Cancer energy to build your intuition and to make your soul's motivation to your soul's purpose. No matter what you do today keep asking yourself, "What motivates my soul?" In other words, why do you do what you do? What motivates you to do this? The more in touch you get with this inner motivation the closer you will get to your soul's purpose. Focus on your Rising Sign for your soul's motivation because the 1st house is your soul's motivation.

The next two paragraphs are for everyone: Individuals are more likely to get emotionally twisted over home and family issues during this Moon than any other Moon placement. Typically the mind will take individuals back to childhood and you may hear yourself or others say, "When I was growing up . . . " or "I was always told . . . " The only thing about this type of thinking is if you are an adult, it has been a long long long time since you were a child and now you get to say who, what, when, where, why and how much. Now you get to evolve and change the house rules into something that works for you and your family. If you are still operating your Life with the childhood thinking of an 8, 12 or 16 year old, then you may now be able to see how that does not work for you as a 26, 36, 46, 56 or 66 year old or however old you are for that matter.

This Cancer Moon carries the motto, "I feel therefore I am." It is important be in touch with and recognize how you feel. When you communicate how you 'feel' then the words should come out as, "I feel . . . " rather than an accusation or statement that does not accurately describe the feeling. There is an extreme emotional sensitivity wherever Cancer shows up in your Natal Chart and this emotional sensitivity can cause one to brood and pout over the slightest of things. Then here come the tears (water indicator). The Cancer Moon causes us to take things way too personal when it wasn't about us at all. This is where you 'get to' look at the situation and mentate on what memory is this bringing up for you. Cancer's have the memory of an elephant, so where you may take something too personal may be indicate something from childhood. As I state in the above paragraph, if you are still operating your Life from a child's perspective, surely you can see how that does not work for you as an adult. Now you are an adult and you get to say -- who, want, when, where, why, how, how long and how much. Check your emotions folks and identify them rightly.
