Survival, Prepping, Bartering Items, Exchange of Good and Services

When using the Amazon Store Front links to any products I mention I earn a small commission at no cost to you.

on DrStandley.com

Bartering is 'an agreement' as old as the day is long that involves the exchange of Goods for Goods, or Goods for Services, or Services for Services.

Let's say I have something you want or need, and you have something that I want or need. We can exchange my want or need, for your want or need.

Maybe you have wood and I have coffee. So we exchange one for the other.

Maybe you have an extra flat head screw driver and I have chocolate chip cookies.

Maybe you have some experience in plumbing and I have pain reliever (Aspirin, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Tampons, Midol, etc.)

Maybe you have powdered milk and I have cough syrup.

on DrStandley.com

You DO NOT need to drink coffee to have coffee.

You do not need a baby to have cloth diapers.

You do not need to have a menses (period) to have tampons.

Have something that will be needed, wanted and appreciated.

I am 62 year old woman, I hardly need tampons,

but I have them to barter.

Think of more, add to your list.

Adult Pull-Ups (underwear)

Baby Supplies

Batteries - Personally I think you should have alternatives to anything that uses batteries

Blankets

Bleach

Booze - not only to take the edge off, but for a fire starter or as an antiseptic

Breast Milk

Calorie Dense Food

Cleaning products

Cloth Diapers (disposable diapers would likely be out of the question or too expensive)

Coats

Cocoa, Chocolate, Candy

Coffee

Cooking Oils

Duct Tape

Fire Starters or Kindling

Firewood

Flour

Food (any)

Garbage Bags

First Aid Items

Hygiene Products

Matches

Pain relievers

Rice

Salt

Spices

Sugar

Sweets

Tampons, Menses Pads

Tools

Keep your mind and options open. If you see a deal, stock-up. You may not need it, but you know your neighbor might.
