Before you experience a grid down situation, you might try-out a different types of powdered or shelf-stable cartoned milk so you know what to prep and have on hand.

Being a prepper means you are prepared. So in addition to the following milk options below, you could also freeze your favorite milk.

If your frozen milk ends up grainy, just put the milk through your blender and it will be fine.

There are many different types of milk you might enjoy. Make your choice(s) and take yourself through a practice run before the event actually occurs. When a SHTF event happens, you don't want to flinch.

Almond Milk

Buttermilk - You can make buttermilk if you make your own butter from whipping cream. The buttermilk will separate from the butter as you mix it. The buttermilk you drink. It's pure buttermilk.

Condensed Milk - is a concentrated shelf-stable milk that has been heated until at least 60 percent of the water content has evaporated. The main difference between condensed milk and evaporated milk is that evaporated milk is unsweetened while condensed milk is sweetened. Condensed milk can be diluted with an equal amount of water and substituted for fresh milk for drinking or for use in recipes.

Freezing Milk - in ice cube trays or in one (1) cup containers, then pop them out and put them in a bag.
