The BIG NEWS today is the Sun moves into Gemini and then the Sun in Gemini will trine Pluto in Aquarius. Do you realize how close we came to having a New Moon in Gemini immediately after the New Moon in Taurus, as both the Moon and the Sun are in Gemini today between the hours of 3:09 AM EDT and 11:28 PM EDT tonight. The Sun and the Moon are in Gemini, but the degrees are so far apart with the Sun entering Gemini at 3:09 AM EDT and the Moon leaving Gemini at 11:28 PM EDT that they are never really within 10 degrees of creating a conjunction to form a New Moon.

This energy reminds me of Thursday - April 20, 2023 when the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries was at 29 degrees 50 minutes and just 3 hours and 44 minutes later both the Moon and the Sun moved into Taurus. They were never exactly exact in the same degree and minute but they were pretty dang close and within 02 degrees of each other. THAT my dear astrotators is a conjunction. Back on April 20, 2023 it really was as close as we could get having a New Moon in Aries and a New Moon in Taurus on the same day!

So we are kinda in that same wild energy of having NEWNESS breakthroughs and breakouts under the guise of Taurus and Gemini.

I am a Gemini, so this begins birthday month for me (and the other me). I take birthday month very seriously as I'm coming into my 2023 Solar Return. There is not a day that goes by that I do not look at my Solar Return to remind me of everything and to keep me on track. I ABSOLUTELY look forward to my Life being drastically different in the most wonderful way. I push in the direction of change.

Gemini's are 1 of the 4 mutable signs, which means adaptable and changeable. The 4 mutable signs are - Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. It is truly a gift to improvise, adapt and overcome, which could actually become the motto of all four (4) mutable signs. "Improvise, adapt, overcome" is actually the 'unofficial slogan' among the U.S. Marines made popular by Clint Eastwood's character Sergeant Thomas Highway in the movie Heartbreak Ridge.

The gift of the mutable signs is 'change'. I take this very seriously as I look for my Life to change and be different in a BIG way, and in a Good way. Every single year I learn and become something NEW, better and different. I cram more into my brain, experiences and skillset.

This past year I learned every single thing I could about food preservation and then I started canning, fermenting and dehydrating. I had already been preserving food through repackaging in food grade buckets and mylar food bags. I pretty much cook in bulk - canning or freezing, so I get a kick out of us sitting down to dinner and saying, "This entire meal costs $1.28 per person."

Folks, when it comes to your next Solar Return, embrace growth in your Life. Settle your mind on being better, doing better and becoming better. Learn something new and incorporate that in your Life. I have not always been a yoga teacher, but I became a yoga teacher at age 58. CAUSE . . YEAH!

The Sun in Gemini will then trine Pluto in Aquarius at 9:58 AM EDT, which has been in the 'orb of influence' since May 13, 2023 until May 30, 2023. So those of you with birth dates between those dates will have this aspect in your 2023 Solar Return.

This aspect has a lot of power behind it. Think of how HUGE the Sun is and the power behind it. We know Jupiter is massive, but it is nothing in size compared to the Sun. When you look at a graphic of our Solar System (Solar = Sun), so our 'Sun System', you will see just how massive the Sun is in relation to the other planets. You will also see how massive the planet Jupiter is next to Pluto. It's fascinating. Look to the far left of the graphic below and you will see just how massive the Sun is to Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars and the rest of the planets.

When we think of Pluto, even though it is a dwarf planet, it packs quite a punch, so we always think power = Pluto. This trine brings more power to those who are already powerful, but it also gives power to those who are powerless (or helpless). Everyone gets a leg up with this aspect.

Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, those who are in a position of leadership gain more power, especially those who are within 08 degrees of this aspect with their Sun in Virgo. What one does with this power is another story.

Even those who are power'less' will grow some guts and are able to stand up for themselves. There is a heightened concentration 'in the spirit' of individuals, which makes them ready to take action. This aspect is most definitely action-oriented. It does not really sit on its ass or twiddle its thumbs.

Folks, never become so smug, lofty, vain, patronizing, proud and hoity toity, that you think you gained power on your own, through your own hard work. Please! That's an ego trip you need to NOT go on. If you have power, then God gave it to you.

I believe just as Jesus stated above, that God dishes out the power and then watches to see just how well we handle it. This gives, "Be careful what you wish for" a whole new meaning.

The Sun trine Pluto is a fantastic aspect if you wish to upgrade, change and evolve into a better person. Even if you are not interested in leading others, or being in a leadership position, this can help in your own personal agenda to better yourself.

The Sun naturally rules Leo, which is ALWAYS concerned about growth and self-improvement. After all, everything grows toward the Sun. But let's not forget, the mark of a really great leader is NOT making it all about themselves (that's just ego), instead the mark of a really great leader 'empowers' others to see the greatness in themselves.

This is where the Sun can go dark, when ego sets-in and there is a fall from Grace or an embarassing situation.

Watch the ego when the Sun is shining. The Universe will not respond well or take a liking to taking advantage of others when 'Graced' with this aspect. Again, the alternative is a 'fall from Grace' . . . publically or in a public forum (social media).

Think of moving meditations to heighten perception and stimulate the senses. This may show up as walking, yoga, tai chi, hiking or some other form of spiritual moving meditation that can help with hindsight, foresight and insight.

The last thing I want to call your attention to is the May 2023 Astro Memes. Folks, ya gotta pay attention to the monthly Astro Memes because ALL OF THE GEMINI's (and a lot of Taurus's) are going to be ramped-up. Gemini rules reporters and reporting, while their counterpart Sagittarius rules journalism.

We are going to hear whistleblowers who have had enough with the non-reporting or hiding what needs to be reported.
