Gosh, how much more wonderful could aspects be for Mother's Day? The sign of Cancer rules the 4th house of home, family, domestic affairs, homesteads, childhood, the breasts, the chest, the uterus, the womb and the mother.

Today we have a wonderful line-up of aspects with three (3) sextiles (that makes us smile) and one (1) trine that is sublime. Not only are females getting along with females (the Moon and Venus), but males and females, as well as males and males, are getting along with each other (Sun and Saturn). A big ol' basket of Love.

This day is perfect for celebrating family, and motherhood, which is a miracle in and of itself. It is a flatout MIRACLE!!! I am still blown away by motherhood.

I have a girlfriend who she and her husband adopted a little boy from Russia (years ago). When she tells the story of the day she left Russia with her baby, I get chills all over again because the events surrounding the day she left was just like any mother laboring to bring her baby into the world. She labored! Her experience from the start of the adoption to the day they were on that plane headed to the USA, was nothing short of a miracle. Every time she tells the story I say, "GIRL! YOU BIRTHED THAT BABY! YOU BROUGHT HIM TO THE WORLD!!!!" Motherhood, no matter how you slice it, is a freakin' miracle! And sometimes the worst job in the world (parents get it), but at the same time the best job in the world.

The Moon sextile Venus are both feminine (yin) energies. This aspect is kind, sweet, attractive, graceful and Good-natured. Actually, the Moon sextile Venus looks like it stepped straight out of the 1950's.

The Moon trine Saturn is the mix of mother (Moon) and father (Saturn) energy. This could be a "Go ask your mom. Go ask your dad" thing. They are both saying, "Yes" but making you work for it. Saturn always likes a little 'work' no matter how it shows up. This aspect has a strong sense of duty, obligation and responsibility.

The Moon sextile Sun is the second best lunar aspect next to the Moon trine the Sun. This is a super-healthy aspect that puts the household in a health-conscious awareness. Maybe the family goes for a bike ride or to the farmer's market. Maybe you are all peeling carrots or shucking corn together. It's a health-conscious time where the male and female energies are agreeing and in it together.

The day ends with the Moon sextile Uranus and now the wind changes. This is still a Good aspect because it is a sextile, so the wind blows and the unexpected occurs. The great thing about this aspect is it will let go of the past in order to move into the future. This is wonderful aspect during a Cancer Moon, which typically holds onto emotions from the past, but now it sets down the emotions from the past realizing that is a necessary action in order to move into the future. What's done is done. What's done is over. Move forward, it's okay.
