Today is a Light day on aspects as the Moon in Virgo quincunx's Jupiter and Mars. Keep in mind that a quincunx is an aspect where two (2) energies have pretty much nothing in common. It's weird to say the least, which can leave you feeling uncomfortable and awkward.

The Moon moves into Virgo at 2:22 AM EDT. Virgo is the sign of the analyst, which carries the motto, "I analyze therefore I am." Think of the world 'analyze' and what it means to do so.

Virgo is ruled by Mercury, which co-rules Gemini. Virgo analyzes and Gemini thinks. So what's the difference? Analyzing takes thinking to an intense level of thought. It ratchets up thinking to scrutiny. At the same time, too much analyzing can cause one to miss the mark or miss out.

It's like standing 6 inches away from a picture on the wall and not being able to see the entire landscape. Virgo rules the microscope. When using a microscope, sometimes you have to turn the 'coarse adjustment' and sometimes you have to turn the 'fine adjustment' in order to increase or descrease the field of view. Virgo is the scientist and 'the specialist'. Virgo experiments and rules the lab.

Virgo has such an attention to detail that it can get caught up on one tiny thing and hang on like a Jack Russell Terrier on a pant leg. The result is it can miss the point, miss the train, or miss the entire experience by hanging on to that one insignificant detail, that was thought to be the most significant. Details are significant, but not all the time. You have to 'choose' your battle with details.

Before I began teaching yoga, I use to see in yoga 'all the time' only one (1) variation of a pose being offered without consideration of anatomy from one individual's body to another individual's body. The anatomy was lost, not considered, or not mentioned, and the result was sprain, strain or full-blown injury. In fact, when I first opened my yoga studio, it was literally built on injured yoga bodies. Bodies are different; therefore, variations should be offered and not just modifications. In fact, I believe in variation, not modification. The more variations of a pose offered, the more do-able yoga is for every 'body'.

Analyzing requires that you - consider, deliberate, scrutinize, study, test, experiment, interpret, evaluate, figure out, spell out, hash out and examine with a fine tooth comb. If you have ever picked lice out of your childs hair, Virgo energy is just like that.

When you are using the Virgo energy in your chart, use it wisely lest you find yourself criticizing, admonishing, nagging, whining, complaining, badgering and bitching, which can lead to - persecuting, condemning, attacking, vilifying, bad-mouthing and poking holes in the moment. NO ONE complains quite like a Virgo. The criticisms can grow to such a length that there is no judgment, only persecution.

This is a perfect place to remind you that opposing signs are the same but different. Virgo's opposing sign is Pisces, which means both signs have to watch their level of complaining as it is mark of ingratitude. Complaining will always work against you. Always! And 'test' it if you must. Both Virgo and Pisces need to self-monitor their tendency to persecute before they even deliberate.

When it comes to Virgo energy, you will really need to watch your tone because anything coming out of your mouth can sound like a criticism and then you end up looking bad, cruel or insensitive.

"Why did you do THAT!" . . . or "Why did you THAT?" . . . or "Why do you do that?" . . . or "Why'dja do that?"

I will just put it this way in a tone that Virgo energy needs to hear, "If you can't say something nice then shut the hell up!"

We are constantly doing work around the house, yard, etc., and we like to do all the work, landscaping, painting, building, constructing and finishing work ourselves. Every so often, we will call in someone else, but not too often.

Yesterday we had a painter drop by to give us a bid. I met this young woman a couple of weeks ago and instantly liked her. She showed up at the exact minute agreed. In fact, she texted and said she would be five (5) minutes late, but ended up being five (5) minutes early. As she and I chatted about the project, she was really quite remarkable in the detail of her approach, and she 'knew' everything! Painting, construction, carpentry, finishing work, interior, exterior . . she knew everything!

I said, "Are you a painter or a carpenter?" Now keep in mind, my Scorpion King built our house with his own hands, so the person I hire for the project will need to pass 'more than' muster because this house is his baby.

She giggled and said, "I'm a construction worker."

I said, "Now I really have to ask. If you don't mind saying, and it's okay if you do mind saying, but are you an Aquarius or a Virgo?"

She excitedly said, "I'm an Aquarius with Virgo Rising" and then she told me the planets she had in Virgo. Then she asked how could I possibly 'know' that. Well then that took us down the ol' astrology road because what Aquarian would not Love to talk about astrology? Okay, a few, but not many.

As I have written to you before, I have Jupiter in Aquarius, and whatever Jupiter touches e-x-p-a-n-d-s. I answered her question about how I could possibly know that she was Aquarius, which is because she was an ever-flowing font of information. She easily conceded to being a know-it-all. I Love people who fess-up and know themselves well. My natal know-it-all Jupiter in Aquarius met my match! And her attention to detail was my drug of choice, VIRGO! It fed my Virgo North Node addiction to pin-point accuracy.

By the time the Scorpion King arrived home from working out, we had everything covered and she knew everything we were looking for before he set out on his line of questioning. That lasted about five (5) minutes and I could tell that he knew, she was our 'detailer' of choice.
