As a result, the child grows into an adult and the battle continues with not only others, but authority figures. And usually the very authority figures who coaxed, prodded and pushed the child to fight back, now find their adult child fighting with them. Children know when something is wrong, even if a parent tells them to do it. And worse, the child grows up knowing this and who put them up to it.
