The BIG NEWS today is Mercury moves out of Scorpio and into the sign of Sagittarius. This placement of Mercury has a severe case of 'hoof in the mouth syndrome'. This Mercury transit will say 'orgasm' instead of 'organism'. It will say 'sex' intead of 'text'. It will say 'my girlfriend' instead of 'my wife'. Right! The words may not even be similar and out of the mouth comes an embarrassing moment of Truth that is on the mind.

The placement of Mercury is actually in its 'detriment', which means it is not in a happy comfortable space. It's a confused planet in Sagittarius and is wondering what the hell it is doing here. So it gets tongue tied and says the most outlandish things.

A planet in its 'detriment' acts out inappropriately at the wrong time and wrong place. Mercury in Sagittarius is 'out of place' because Sagittarius naturally opposes Gemini and Mercury naturally rules Gemini. Mercury is saying, "What am I doing here? I'm supposed to be over there?" Even more, Sagittarius also squares the sign of Virgo, which is also ruled by Mercury.

So Sagittarius is getting hit from two (2) directions straight on and from the side from two (2) signs - Gemini and Virgo, which are both naturally ruled by Mercury. Oh Mercury is so out of place here! So you can see, this is a double-whammy of a 'detrimental' placement for Mercury.

This communication is like a 4 year old asking an overweight woman if there is a baby in her belly. It's just inappropriate communication. The 'Detri-mental' placement is interesting here because Mercury is the 'mental' planet of the zodiac and being in an 'out of place' space can make communication somewhat difficult and probably offensive.

There is a demand for mental freedom where there is a tendency to say what one thinks without thinking of the consequences. This Mercury placement will last from today until Sunday, December 20, 2020. Freedom of Speech is going to become loud, obnoxious and boistrous. This is where we all should not mind Mercury in Sagittarius because this placement is bold, frank and tells it like it is without regret . . . but, there will be regret after this placement is over. So please, think of the rephrase before you speak unbridled thoughts. Pull the reins on yourself.

Interesting for 2020 and 20/20 vision, this Mercury placement is going to cause words, stutters, stumbles in speech for 20 days. Listen for testimony from whistleblowers and those who are giving testimony in defense. Remember, Sagittarius rules the higher courts - federal, appeals and Supreme on a state and federal level. There is going to be a lot of talking in court right now. And for God's sake, get your news from anywhere but the usual 'alphabet soup news' because you missing out on the real stories. Remember, the Sagittarius motto is, "I perceive/see therefore I am" and we are in the heart and thick of Sagittarius territory.

The Sun is in Sagittarius, the South Node is in Sagittarius and Mercury is in Sagittarius. Keep your ears and eyes peeled. Listen! Mercury in Sagittarius is telling us to listen more and talk less, but words will be spilled, spewed and spoken. Just like the Sagittarian horse who tweeks his ears and tunes-in, clear out your ears and listen. If you are speaking, then you are not listening.
