The BIG NEWS TODAY is Venus moves out of Gemini and into the sign of Cancer until Saturday, August 26, 2017. Venus in Cancer pretty much says, "I Love my home and family!" It also says, "I Love my homeland" as in "I Love my country." Cancer is a maternal sign, where its counterpart (the opposite sign of Capricorn) is the paternal sign. This means that Venus in Cancer is very maternal and if placed in a man's chart he will have more maternal instincts than paternal instincts. This could easily be the stay-at-home dad or the extremely involved father on the sidelines who never misses a game. This is also the father who sends care packages to their child(ren) in college. When placed in a woman's chart she will be extremely maternal and devoted to the family including husband and children. She will prefer to stay-at-home and take care of the family and keep the house in order while her husband works. Venus in Cancer transiting over a house in your Natal Chart or Solar Return will influence you toward the home and family. You may even find yourself going back to the place of your birth, childhood or visiting your parents during this time.

The only aspect occurring today is the Moon sextile Pluto. The aspect is all about 'emotional power'. If you can remember that the Moon rules the emotions, feelings, moods and sensitivites, and Pluto rules over-the-top power, explosion and control (like Plutonium) then you can imagine how it will affect the emotions. This is a sextile, which is easier energy than a square or opposition. The enlightened individual with this power has the ability to seek understanding of their nature and accept it, embrace it and change it, if change is in order. This aspect is deeply emotional and at the same time controlled, which makes this wonderful energy for channeling into a creative project that utilizes emotion and passion.
