The Moon is in Sagittarius until Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 4:18 AM EDT.

The Moon is still in the sign of the archer (Sagittarius) who embraces his/her visions, dreams and ambitions, takes aim, then pulls back his/her bow and hits the intended target. Sagittarius ALWAYS aims high and never level or lateral. It's always higher, bigger, better and more. Sagittarius does not know how to do anything small or local. That would be like corraling a wild stallion or locking it up in a stall. Sooner or later the stallion is going to kick down the door or jump the fence and look for greener pastures. It can't help it. For this reason, Sagittarian energy needs to be free to grow without restriction or limitation. Keep in mind that Sagittarius is naturally ruled by the ever-expansive planet Jupiter, which is the second largest heavenly body after the Sun.
There are three aspects to the Moon today, the first aspect at 10:32 AM EDT will attempt to weigh on your self-confidence and keep you from growing. It is cautious, reserved and self-limiting due to a lack of affection, which may come from the parents or from a male or female authority figure. This conjunction does have a square to it from Chiron causing us to criticize others, which may actually be our own self-criticism.
The second aspect occurs just one hour later at 11:38 AM EDT, so essentially these first two aspets are overlapping each other in timing. So while the conjunction is occurring, there is also a sextile to Jupiter occurring at the exact same 21 degrees. (*See the downloadable chart wheel today and you will see the Moon, Saturn and Jupiter all at 21 degrees.) This makes you optimistic, eager, generous, kind and attracted to wealth. The conjunction is also an attraction to wealth and material possesssions due to the lack of affection. In the case of the Moon conjunct Saturn, money really does buy happiness and a sextile to Jupiter puts a cherry on top. So you may find yourself buying what truly makes you happy.
The third aspect today occurs this evening at 9:27 PM EDT, which is likened to having a propeller attached to your body. This is very self-motivating energy, so if you find yourself up late tonight working on a project, it is probably due to this aspect. This aspect gives you the motivation you need to be more competitive with yourself than with anyone else. You are doing 'this' for you!
