It's a light day on aspects as we experience only one lunar aspect with the Moon sextile Mercury. This is the aspect that emotionally connects to memories. Do not be surprised if something nostalgic, from the past or even from childhood pops into your memory bank and pulls a number on your emotions. Those with this aspect in the natal chart can retain information like an elephant, which is about as close to Mercury in Cancer as you can get. You see folks, Cancer rules the home, the family and the biological and psychological foundation. The Moon naturally rules Cancer, so when Mercury connects to the Moon (or Cancer) then memories find their way to the forefront of the mind. Since this is a sextile, an easy and wonderful aspect, then the memories will be fond and memorable. This aspect is also great for studying for a test, bar exam, national examine, boards or anything else that you need to cram into your short-term or even long-term memory. Again, it is like the memory of an elephant.
This aspect not only blends the heart (emotions) and mind (thoughts) together well, it also brings to the mind the subject matter of health and fitness. This is because Mercury not only rules communication and mental abilities (Gemini), but it also rules health, hygiene and fitness (Virgo). Mercury is the co-ruler of Gemini and Virgo, so you may have an itch to get back into shape. Shorts, skirts, swimsuits and sun-dresses are just around the corner. While this aspect has a positive and happy disposition, it also brings sensitivity that is felt when others are being dishonest or insincere. The Good news is this aspect is exact at 3:16 PM EDT, and since lunar aspects have an 'orb of influence' of 12 to 14 hours on either side of their exactness, then we will feel this aspect all day long. Yippee!
