SUN QUINCUNX URANUS
A quincunx is where two (2) signs pretty much have nothing in common and sit there wondering what to do about each other. It's like they are saying, "What now?" This is how you feel completely uncomfortable in your own family, or with people you should feel comfortable with, but yet you have nothing in common, and sometimes you have nothing to even fight over, so you might just make something up in order to tango/tangle.
It's weird and uncomfortable energy to say the least. You just cannot seem to land in the same space and it's like you are coming from different worlds that are not even opposite worlds. Further, a quincunx is an angle that sits at 150 degrees, which is between a trine at 120 degrees and an opposition at 180 degrees.
The Sun quincunx Uranus creates an atmosphere of tensions rising. Use the Gemini antennas in your chart to listen. Mercury rules Gemini (and Virgo) and Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, which rules the nervous system and mental abilities. So you can see how Uranus could ramp up mental activity and rattle the nerves.
We all know how we feel when our tensile temperature rises, so just keep in mind, tensions are rising in others as well. We don't know how much others can take, but we do know how much we can take, or do we?
This aspect reminds me of the Sun conjunct Mercury, which is the aspect of overloaded circuitry or all circuits are busy (in the brain). Conjunctions intensify the energy of the planets involved and quincunxes are weird and uncomfortable requiring a change or adjustment on our part.
Consider that Uranus is an outer planet, unlike Mercury being a personal planet. As a collective, everyone is feeling 'tensions rise' rather than this being a personal thing. It is NOT your imagination.
Also consider even though the Sun conjunct Mercury (all circuits are busy) is more intense than the Sun quincunx Mercury (tensions rising), Uranus is more intense than Mercury, so the quincunx is feeling pretty dang wired, like it wants to slap someone just for looking this way or that way.
