MOON OPPOSING URANUS

This aspect depicts conflict which, when resolved, results in growth. Oppositions show a tug of war between opposing forces. If they are resolved, then the oppositions become the backbone and strength of the chart.

It is important to understand that the Moon rules the home and the family. It also rules the emotions, feelings, sensitivities and moods, while Uranus is the planet of a sudden change in circumstance, much like a lightning strike. Uranus also represents innovation, invention and independence. It literally strikes out and strikes out on its own, like lightning. Uranus is unconventional and electrifying; thereby bringing about sudden change in an instant, which can show up as being erratic. You can pretty much expect the unexpected when Uranus is involved and since it is coupled with the Moon in this scenario, then the mood can unexpectedly change.

Conflict arises because of the belief that the individual’s emotions are crazy, unstable and perverse. The individual with this aspect in their natal chart learned during childhood that emotions were fast-changing and could not to be trusted or depended upon. This was probably learned from the mother.

This aspect has a frequent change in moods and attitude, which in turn confuses others. One minute the individual said and felt 'this' and the next minute the individual said and felt 'that'.

This opposition is as undependable and unpredictable as it can get. One may not know what to expect when they walk through the door if they are living with someone with this aspect. This can cause others to avoid the individual because of this tendency to expect the unexpected (in moods). Talk about walking on eggshells!!! This is nervous tension.

As an adult, this aspect causes the individual to experience conflict as they see-saw between the intellect (Uranus) and the emotions (the Moon). This will also cause the individual to see-saw between relationships, never really sticking around to see how it turns out. There is also the strong probability of multiple or frequent changes in residence.

Women with this aspect in their natal chart may ignore the maternal duties and run off to play elsewhere leaving the children neglected. They will also wear out and drain men (emotionally) due to their constant changing moods swings.

Men with this aspect are irresponsible and are never really Good family providers and will probably have issues with their own mother.

This aspect is just horrible for family connections because the Moon rules the home and the family. This aspect simply cannot deliver anything with certainty.

In either sex, there is a constant demand where one or the other has to make decisions for the other person, which just wears down the partner emotionally and mentally. This means the person with this aspect will need someone to dominate them simply because they cannot and will not maintain personal responsibility, self-discipline and organize or schedule themselves, so the partner will have to be a force and take charge type of person.

The constant need to maintain personal responsibility is exasperating for anyone who is around the person with this aspect. The individual (juvenile or adult) really needs a babysitter.
