MERCURY SQUARE JUPITER

This aspect is a seat of inner tensions. The tension of the square gives us motivation. Squares are dynamic aspects that give us the drive to succeed. What begins as an inner problem is overcome or accepted, and then becomes a door to understanding.

Mercury rules the mind, mental energy and the power of mental pursuasion. Mercury is the sign of mental telepathy, the thinking mind and things compart-mental-ized in the mind. Jupiter is lucky, adventurous and abundant. Jupiter is very benevolent, generous and philanthropic. Jupiter rules religion and higher education.

This square is quite a challenge to say the least. Mercury naturally rules Gemini (the 3rd house) and Jupiter naturally rules Sagittarius (the 9th house). Gemini and Sagittarius are opposing signs, as do the 3rd and 9th houses. So not only do these two planets represent a natural opposition, they are squaring each other at a very sharp right 90 degree angle like someone sticking their elbow in your side and grinding it. Both Mercury and Jupiter rule the two signs of communication, talking, speaking, writing, publishing, traveling, transportation, learning and educating. These two planets also rule these subjects at different levels of communciation, learning, expression and moving about the locale, country or world.

This tells us there is Truth in what was said, and the people thought it was just an exaggeration. At the same time, we will see exaggeration in other ways. One thing that exaggeration does is it gets our attention. Pay attention folks. God is showing all of us what we need to see, whether we want to see it or not, and whether we agree with it or not. What is, is.

It is important to note that this aspect is 'The Exaggerator' and is more colorful and overstated between mutable signs (Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius and Pisces) than it is between any other signs. This gets a little hairy and twisted, but it is worth noting because it's so dang twisted and seemingly, unreal. Oh but it is indeed, real. Did he/she really say that? Did I really see what I think I saw? You sure did!

Mercury square Jupiter is so overemphasized, inflated and magnified that it will actually cause an individual to call more attention to themselves than they will in the direction they are pointing. This is like someone on the witness stand who talks so much that they implicate and incriminate themselves. Folks, watch and listen for these stories in the news.

This aspect is like a game of pinball with energy bouncing off everything it touches and pinging here, there and everywhere with all of the bells and whistles sounding off. We may find ourselves listening to someone and thinking, "Do you even hear yourself?" This aspect IMPLICATES ITSELF!!! This aspect is on the witness stand punching itself in the face. On the political front, I'm looking forward to this!

Mercury is the master communicator of the zodiac and the sales extraordinare. Mercury can sell a boat to a guy in the desert with no trailer to haul it. And Jupiter takes this to the next level of fleet sales. Jupiter will not just sell one boat to the guy in the desert, he is selling a fleet of boats to the guy in the desert.

Mercury talks, Jupiter overtalks. Mercury is local, Jupiter is global. Mercury rules automobiles, Jupiter rules trucks. Mercury rules grades K-12, Jupiter rules colleges and universities. Mercury rules the intellect and mental abilities, Jupiter rules philosophy, doctrines and tenets. Ya' get it?

So watch for this energy to occur all around you, especially where the plights of many hangs in the balance. The can of worms is pushing open and cannot be contained any longer.
