A conjunction or conjunct symbol is an aspect that emphasizes and brings together the energies of the planets involved. Conjunctions focus and intensify the energy much like a laser beam on an exact point in your chart. These planets have their own uniqueness and when tag-teamed their energy is intensified even more.
It is important to understand that Mars is busy, hyper and action-oriented. Mars is assertive, aggressive and competitive, while Saturn rules stability and responsibility. The Moon is emotional, while Saturn is disciplined and cautious. Mars is ready to move forward, while Saturn reserved and restricted. Mars is anxious, while Saturn is patient. Mars naturally rules Aries, while Saturn naturally rules Capricorn. Aries and Capricorn are squaring signs making it tough for them to understand one another.
The Good news about this aspect is it is a very hard worker because Mars like to finish first and Saturn likes to work hard. This aspect is what makes one 'go the distance' and 'hang in there'. This aspect is not only resourceful, but it uses the resources that it has. It doesn't matter what challenges lie ahead, this aspect will cause you to put your nose to grindstone and stick it out for the long haul. There is a level of courage and endurance that will carry you through the fear and face danger without batting an eye. This aspect is perfect for military careers.
Mars conjuncts Saturn, which is essentially the placement of 'The Gladiator' is one of my favorite movies of all time. "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED! ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? IS THIS NOT WHY YOU ARE HERE?" Gladiator exclaims the first sentence, then states it again making it a question in the second sentence. Then he poses the final question that leads to an awareness of just how much power he has when he stands in his 'self' and his own power. It is in THAT moment in the gladiator arena that he realizes his power. He then slows down his energy and took that moment (awareness) in once the crowd started cheering. Mars is the ancient-ruler of bad-assery Scorpio Secret Agent 007 and is the co-ruler of Aries, the independent warrior. Saturn is stable, in control, self-disciplined and the authority figure. Saturn rules the military. Saturn is not the private, Saturn is the General. Maximus Decimus Meridius (in Gladiator played by Russell Crowe) was 'The General'.
"My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son. Husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this Life or the next." ~Maximus Decimus Meridius
And there you have it my dear astrotators, Mars conjunct Saturn. I think what a lot of people forget is the aspects are active before and after they are exact. The applying (before) and separating (after) degrees need to be concerned rather than expecting something to occur exactly on the exact date of the aspect. Certainly it can and does, but more often that not, it doesn't.
We roll through this same energy every two (2) years in just about the exact arrangement of time, nearly the same dates. Check out the dates below. Look at those dates again because they should ring a bell. We are in THAT SAME energy. We all have Aries somewhere in our chart. Every single one of us have Aries because we all have all 12 Sun Signs in our charts, which means Aries is in there. Aries is the warrior of the zodiac and the sign of 'independence' to the nth degree.
It would also be wise to look at your Solar Return to see where this 'Gladiator' energy shows up for you so that you can see 'your role' in the circumstances and the happenings of what is going on in the world today. This is why some of you will be behind-the-scenes doing what you can to support those who are on the front lines.
I have noticed that more and more people are finding their voice where they were previously not speaking up at all. Do you know why? Because it's time. Calling all warriors, it's time.
Reading about what is going on in the world today is NOT participating. Watching the news is NOT participating. This aspect is requiring every single person to get on the battlefield and participate in some way, shape or form. Even if you are behind-the-scenes feeding information to those who can get the word out (who have a larger platform) would be a form of participating. For instance, I cannot possibly research and read everything. I choose my battles and causes.
All I'm saying is that make certain you are choosing the battle where you can express your Inner-Gladiator and do the most Good. If you are the one who is feeding information to someone else, who has a larger platform to get the word out, that is participating. You are doing your part. You must choose 'your battle' and participate. Not caring is not an option because you will be impacted, influenced and affected by something that is going on in the world today because it will indeed 'rock your world' in a way that you do not like and it will not feel Good. We all have a role right now. Participate in the battle that resonates with your heart, mind and spirit. You have to choose!
This Mars conjunct Saturn role does not just give up. First of all, Mars does not know how to give up. It just doesn't. And Saturn is a very hard worker. So is Mars, which also likes to finish first. Mars will win. Look to see where your Mars is because it will win or die trying. Remember, Mars is the ancient-ruler of Scorpio, which is the sign of 'winning or will die trying'. We also remember Aries as winning because it is the first sign of the zodiac, the start of creation, the beginning, the starter and coming in first. Mars is going to win!
Mars conjunct Saturn will go the distance. Oh you get your ass it will.
Folks, monsters live among us folks. Whether you want to realize it or not, there are monsters that live among us and apparently it takes some insanely evil people to rattle our cages enough to get out there and bring them down. Everyone must get involved. I remember my older brother telling me this about monsters. I will NEVER forget it. And it's True.
Folks, while you are expressing your support for those in other countries to defend their homeland, you are also being asked to defend your own. Why can't everyone see that? We have seen those in our own country fly foreign flags in support, but yet our country has been infiltrated and invaded.
These people had better WAKE-UP! This is not a joke and it's not a drill. While attention is being expressed and given elsewhere, it would be wise to look at your own homeland (country) and your own home (boundary) to see where there are leaks, cracks, holes and openings where you can be easily infiltrated. And by that I mean where your home and family are weak and unattended. Take this awareness to your front door and backyard. The binds need to be tightened, strengthened and reinforced. Do you understand?
Notice in the clip below how he stood up and defended his turf, where he was in the moment (turf) and notice how he was cheered on for doing so. Just as you may be cheering on those defending themselves in other countries. And while you are cheering on those elsewhere, YOU MUST also tend to your own home. Let us remember that while Gladiator was defending battle elsewhere, his own home was left unattended and was not protected. Sad. Here is a link to that clip if you do not see the video below.
This reminds me of the Israelites who 'had to' wander the desert for 40 years. God told them that when they reached their homeland they would have to defend it. You have to defend your homeland. You have to! Think of defending your own country as defending your own home. Some had a really hard time believing and holding the Faith. When times were Good they blessed God and humbled themselves. When times where tough they cursed God and their hearts were hardened, and they were left behind and never saw 'The Promised Land'.
As it turned out, after 40 years of wandering, every Israelite who was over the age of 20 years old when they left Egypt with Moses as the leader was now dead, except for Moses, Joshua, and Caleb (Numbers 14:38). Everyone else had died without seeing or realizing the fullness of what they had. It's times like that (like this) that you have to hold on to God and DO NOT LET GO! And you have to be prepared to defend YOUR homeland. While you cheer for others homeland, you must still keep your eye on your own home(land), your own front door, and your own backyard.
Mars conjunct Saturn goes the distance. I doubt this is another 40 year wandering as I do EXPECT the evil people to be jailed and the world on the road to recovery by 2026. Yes, go ahead and write that down. 2026. This write-up was written in the Daily Horoscope on April 10, 2024 then copy and pasted into this page.) Keep in mind Saturn, Neptune and Uranus will all move and change signs in the Spring of 2026. Oh change is coming alright. Prepping for two (2) weeks is simply not enough. Good luck with that.
Even though history does repeat itself (The Great Depression), we are not the same people. We are smarter, bigger, better and more mature. We have skills, tools, equipment and knowledge that is not the same as it was the first time around.
It is also like that in relationships. Often times we get a history lesson in relationships. We might choose the same kind of relationship, but we are not the same people, so we get to change the history as we move forward. Some people will, some people won't. Some people will enter the promised land because they hung in there and some people won't. Some people will make it to the end, and some people won't. FACT! CHOICE! Mars conjunct Saturn is resourceful and uses the resources that it has. It doesn't matter what challenges are ahead, this aspect puts the nose to grindstone and sticks it out for the long haul. This aspect is prepared and thinks ahead. If you choose to accept this mission, there is a level of courage and endurance that will carry you through the fear and face danger as if you are hydroplaning above it all.
Needless to say, this aspect is perfect for military careers.
It is fair to say that this aspect resents those who have an easier time, those who 'get' without going the distance or contributing to the cause. Resentment can build, which will cause others to act out in a war-like manner (Mars). It will also cause others not to share their toys, preps, food, water, skills, etc.
The patience of Saturn can keep one in-check for quite a while and then all hell breaks lose when you just can't take much more, the temper explodes. This can lead to destructive behaviors such as throwing things or tearing things apart, as if an explosion occurred on the premises.
It is also fair to say that this conjunction challenges your self-expression because the Saturn influence holds you back in order to temper you, but then Mars makes you feel as if you are 'bashing your head against a brick wall'. And so it goes, this energy is completely frustrating when not properly channelled. Again, you have to take action. Gladiator tempered himself. He held it together and channelled Mars in the way it needed to go down. Temper yourself.
Even still, you will have the energy to get up and carry on with even more force than you originally thought. Once you blow your top, you get right back in there and get the job done. Maybe blowing your top is exactly what you needed. Really? Gladitor blew his top, "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?" Then he calmed himself and took it all in. Ah yes, he used it to his advantage.
Did you really need to see or experience your own home, family, or homeland to go to hell in handbasket in order to see? Then prepare for that if that's how you need to see it.
Mars conjunct Saturn is the epitome of 'Strength and Honor'. It is ambitious and does not take "no" for an answer. This energy can and will reach its goals, even though the pace is much slower than you would like it to be due to the patience and caution of Saturn. Mars needs to be tamed because it will come out swinging without thinking and destroy its own home or homeland and then realize it has no home to go home to.
Thank God this aspect gives you the self-discipline you need to reach your goals so that you don't lose your cool too much or pull your hair out during the frustrating slow periods.
Folks, it would be really really really wise to look at your own home (where you live) and your own homeland (country) because the sh!t is truly getting ready to hit the fan and your eyes may be locked on the wrong scene.
