The BIG NEWS today is the Scorpio Moon accompanied by two (2) aspects, both having masculine, testosterone and yang energies slathering the ethers.

The first aspect is the Moon in Scorpio square Mars in Leo. This aspect begins the day on the wrong foot, crabby as hell, ready to argue and is extremely emotionally volatile. Keep in mind Mars is the ancient ruler of Scorpio, so a square to Scorpio from Mars is kinda like Mars is punching Scorpio in the face. Mars in Leo alone is a super-powerful placement that boxers want. So Mars making a square to its ancient ruling planet is like a slap in the face. I'd be pissed off too.

This aspect is raw, quick-tempered and intolerant. It is impatient, irritable and feels lonely. The Moon square Mars is unstable, negative and demanding. Thank God this aspect is occurring at the start of the day at 6:49 AM EST so we can get this energy over with at the start of the day. Each minute that ticks by, the aspect separates further and further apart. As each minute ticks by, we get further from the Moon square Mars and closer to the Moon trine Saturn.

The Moon in Scorpio will then trine Saturn in Pisces at 9:07 PM EST, but again, the more time moves along, the closer it gets to this aspect. Lunar aspects have a 12 to 14 hour 'orb of influence' before and after its exactness, so you see, by the time 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM hits, we will be feeling the Moon trine Saturn more than the Moon square Mars.

The Moon trine Saturn is stable, where the Moon square Mars was not. The Moon trine Mars is confident, firm, serious, respectful, responsible and practical. This is also, dare I say, "conservative", but I don't mean it politically. I mean it in the traditional, old fashioned and conventional sense.

Whenever Saturn shows up in a trine like this, he is serious and proper, which means he is not looking to destabilize or disrupt the energy or looking to yang anyone's chain. If anyone acts out inappropriately, chances are someone will take that individual aside and gently say, "Not today. Not here. Not now."
