The BIG NEWS today is there is a Full Moon in Aquarius at 22 degrees 24 minutes. What you should first consider during ANY Full Moon is the relationship between the two heavenly bodies that actually create a Full Moon. The Moon can't be full without the Sun. During a Full Moon, the Moon and the Sun are in opposing signs at exactly 180 degrees opposite from one other. It's a tug-of-war or the perfect balance. It is one or the other depending on how you embrace the Full Moon or reject the Full Moon, so the Sun Sign of the Full Moon really does make a difference depending on your chart. This month the Sun is in Leo and the Moon is in Aquarius creating a Full Moon in Aquarius. The Sun is testosterone and the Moon is estrogen. The Sun represents father energy (like Saturn) and the Moon represents mother energy.

So here we have a tug-of-war, or perfect balance, between the father and the mother. If you can remember when your parents fought and how they were at war with one another, so it goes with us as we conduct our own internal battle with these energies. There is always an element of mom and dad stuff with a Full Moon. The Sun is our ego and the Moon is our emotions. And do you remember when your parents were being lovable toward one another and how happy that made you? And so it goes with us as we conduct our own internal desire for that kind of happiness when we witnessed our parents laugh, kiss, snuggle or show affection toward one another. Full Moon's always bring daddy and mommy issues to some degree.

What is so interesting about this Full Moon is that Aquarius is very well-known for being emotionally distant and aloof, keeping their emotions at an arm's reach. Aquarius says, "Don't cling to me!" After all, Aquarius does rule the 11th house of friends, associations, acquaintances and networking. Aquarius wants to mingle and socialize and doesn't want anyone pawing at them like a cat (their opposite sign Leo) and clinging to them or walking between their ankles when they are trying to work the room. Aquarius typically hugs with distance between the two heart's who are hugging and pats the other person on the back.

Aquarius's opposite sign is Leo, which rules the heart and the back. It is Leo who hugs heart to heart, not Aquarius. Leo is also the cat (lion) who is constantly rubbing up against your ankles trying to get some Love and affection. By the way, Aquarius rule the ankles. Aquarius is the circulator in the crowd and the circulation of blood that pumps the heart (Leo). One has no use without the other. These two signs have what each other wants and needs. It is always that way between two opposing energies. This is why relationships that are opposite signs are not necessarily a bad thing. He/She might have what you want and need, and he/she might have what you want and need, which in turns creates the perfect balance. Aquarius cannot stand clingy, emotional and needy energy, and Leo needs a constant flow of affection and attention. Cats, even though they are aloof and distant creatures, they also have an incredibly needy and emotional nature when they want attention. Each sign is equal 'and' opposite to their counterpart. Similiar but different. The same but not.

This Full Moon is accmpanied by Mercury squaring Uranus, which is so interesting knowing that Aquarius carries the motto, "I know therefore I am." I suspect a lot of people are going to get their intellectual ego checked and smacked down by the Universe. The know-it-all's. Mercury square Uranus is exact tomorrow on August 16, 2019 but is in a strong 'orb of influence' right now impacting this Aquarius Moon. Interestingly enough, Uranus is the natural ruler of Aquarius and is also the higher octave of Mercury, and they are forming a challenging square making communication, thoughts and the mind complicated.

My oh my! If you have your birthday surrounding this date or within a week of it before or after, you will carry this energy over the next year in your Solar Return, so you might want to check your intellectual ego before the Universe or someone else does it for you. It could prove to be embarrassing.

You can pretty much expect the mind (Mercury) to change suddenly (Uranus) when this aspect shows up. You can and will make a decision based on insufficient evidence or any amount of experience or knowledge. It just makes you want to scratch your head when you see it or hear it. Others may think you are obstinate and egotistical. Just hold on a second (or a day or two) so you can straight, clear and right.

This aspect can be seen as so far out there that you can alienate others in the way you think and behave. Mercury square Uranus not only thinks foolishly, it lacks tact and wisdom. Sometimes those with this aspect can leave you scratching your head or leave you saying to yourself, "What the hell was that all about?"

Practicality and all reasoning is left out of this aspect. There is little regard for the Truth and often times the person with this aspect thinks of himself or herself as a genius, when that really isn't the case at all. Mercury square Uranus is intellectual conceit.

This aspect reminds me of the character John Laroche (played by Chris Cooper) in the movie, "Adaptation" (one of my favorite movies) of all time. Laroche was on the witness stand in court and said, "I'm probably the smartest person I know." This aspect enjoys learning about philosophical things, which is also characteristic of Laroche.

Mercury sextile Uranus can be insightful and make you think because the aspect is so abstract in its views. It favors education from the most basic level of learning to the highest peak of thinking. Again, another trait of John Laroche. This aspect is an intellectually ego-inflated and the perfect example is John Laroche.

MORE IMPORTANTLY ---> I want you to seal into your mind that the Aquarian motto for this Full Moon in Aquarius is, "I know therefore I am" and there are several ways this 'knowing' needs to be embraced. All too often there is a case of mistaken identity where Aquarian energy is all too focused on what they know, instead of who they know. Aquarius rules the circulation, not only the circulation of blood in the body, but circulating yourself among people. Aquarius rules friends, groups, acquaintances, associations, groups, networking, members, organizers, charter members, VIPs and the like. Who are the people that you know that can help you advance your purpose? Aquarius is one of the three air intellectual signs (Aquarius, Gemini and Libra), and also rules where a lot of people are gathered together.
