In case you haven't noticed from the October 2018 Astro Memes we will experience a total of seven (7) major aspects involving Mercury. We have already experienced three (3) of the seven (7) major aspects involving Mercury and today we will experience two (2) more. Mercury is the second fast moving planet (second to the Moon), which typically remains in one sign between 15 and 18 days. The Moon stays in a sign for 2 to 2-1/2 days.

Mercury trine Neptune is the aspect that fires on all cylinders. The brain is snappin' and poppin' with all kinds of ideas that can't be written down fast enough. Get the voice recorder on your phone ready because you could easily forget that great idea when the next thought comes in. Use the 'Notes App' or the 'Voice Recorder' on your phone or whatever you need to do (Post-It's™) in order to turn your creative ideas and wonderful imagination into physical manifestation. Mercury (the mind) trine Neptune (intuition) is also how you are able to read the thoughts of others. You just can't help it, although you will need to make certain that you get out of the way of your thoughts so that you do not project your own beliefs on to someone else or dive into judgment. This aspect can also 'easily' engage in mind manipulation. This is prophetic ability. Use it or lose it.

I find it interesting that these two (2) major aspects are showing up on the same day. While one aspect is firing on all cylinders, the other one is firing so quickly that it is interrupting others. One appears to be a more pleasant aspect, while the other appears to be more aggravating. This could easily happen to you where your mind is moving so fast that you interrupt others so you don't forget what you were saying, but they are trying to get their point across before they forget what they were saying. It works both ways. If you are engaged in a conversation, on the phone or in person, then make little notes to yourself so that you can say what you want to say when the other person comes up for air. This energy is sandwiched by another Mercury aspect that comes into applying 'orb of influence' today and hits exact on Monday, October 22, 2018, which is Mercury sextile Pluto, the aspect of mental power.

This second major aspect today with Mercury square Mars shows an aggressive style of communication that is moving so intensely and quickly that it is interrupting others and just becoming downright rude. While the mind is moving fast from the first aspect, the mouth is moving faster with this aspect. You may find yourself (or someone else) switching channels, meaning switching the subject matter quickly, thereby taking the discussion in a totally different direction and off course. It's frustrating. You may feel like saying, "Let me finish my damn thought before you interrupt me!" This can easily result in overheated and argumentative discussion. Dial it down folks! This aspect causes frequent headaches because Mars rules the head and the head becomes over-heated with this aspect. It can also produce nervous disorders because Mercury rules the nervous system. The virtues of patience and verbal restraint are necessary to learn, as these are not natural traits, they are learned.

In addition to these two (2) major aspects today, there are also three (3) lunar aspects impacting your emotions, feelings, moods and sensitivities. The first aspect being the Moon square Jupiter may have you stopping for a latte and bagel (meaning you are over-eating and over-drinking your calories this morning). The second aspect is THE BEST aspect for doctor appointments as the Moon trines the Sun. This is the perfect dance between the Moon and the Sun or female and male energy. The last lunar aspect being the Moon sextile Uranus brings a sudden change to your emotions or mood. You felt one way earlier, but now that you have given it some thought, now you feel differently.
