Even though we experience a New Moon in Cancer tonight at 10:31 PM EDT, the Moon is actually still in Gemini until 6:07 PM EDT where it will then move into the sign of Cancer. Then 4-1/2 hours later the New Moon in Cancer will be present at 10:31 PM EDT. So all day today, while we will be pulled into the 'orb of influence' of the New Moon in Cancer, the Gemini Moon will still have us flighty, flirty and fiesty up until it changes signs. Today we will also experience two lunar aspects to the Gemini Moon before the New Moon in Cancer hits later in the evening. The first lunar aspect is an opposition to Saturn, which makes getting along with men, especially authority figures or father figures quite challenging. Think about this, the Moon rules the mother and Saturn rules the father. When you see an opposition, this is a tug-of-war. It could be the perfect balance like the see-saw on the playground, but generally speaking, the Moon opposing Saturn rarely looks like the perfect balance. Saturn is very cold (emotionally) and this is not going to sit well coming into a Cancer Moon with a Cancer Sun and Mercury in Cancer. Get my drift here folks? The Moon square Saturn puts men and women at odds, in an all out tug-of-war.

The second lunar aspect today tells us that there will be quick emotional responses. Whenever you see Uranus show up in a horoscope, then expect the unexpected. What I say, isn't and whatever I say isn't, is. You can expect that much. If the Sun and Mercury in Cancer prove to be too emotional for you, then the Moon sextile Uranus may have just what you need. Uranus is so quick that it may just decide to move on with or without you. Uranus is progressive and may just say, "I'm turning over a new leaf without approval or needing anyone's approval." It's pretty cool energy, if you can handle it rightly.
