| HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER It's so easy, it's lazy! |
[A picture is below]
If there is anything I can make 'pure' on my own without buying it pre-packaged and pre-made, then by golly I'm goin' for it. This recipe is so easy that it is just lazy. This is Alton Brown's Recipe from the Food Network. This really is a 5 minute recipe and I'll throw in an extra 5 minutes for it being your first time.
INGREDIENTS
15 ounces shelled and skinned roasted or 'not' roasted peanuts
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 1/2 teaspoons honey
1 1/2 tablespoons peanut oil
Place the peanuts, salt and honey into the bowl of your food processor. Hit the button and process for about 1 minute. Lift the lid, scrape down the sides of the bowl, put the lid back on and process some more. After about another minute, begin drizzling in the peanut oil. Process another minute. When as smooth to your liking, then put the peanut butter in an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator. There are no preservatives so it needs to be refrigerated, which can be up to 2 months. But this peanut butter is so Good, it will not last you 2 months. And if you want roasted or honey-roasted peanut butter, then roast your nuts and honey them up. HONEY! My pictures are below.
