The most popular of the three mint varieties, spearmint is used worldwide but originated from the Mediterranean regions and widely used by the Romans. Grows well in nearly all temperate climates. Spearmint leaves can be used fresh, dried or frozen.
Especially useful to aid in digestion, treatment of upper respiratory illnesses, as an anti-inflammatory, and an analgesic.
