BACH FLOWER REMEDIES ARE . . . dilutions of flower material that was researched and created by Dr. Edward Bach, who was an English homeopath and physician in the 1930's. Bach Flower Remedies are used for behaviorial, emotional and spiritual conditions that replace negative emotions with positive emotions.

Bach Flower Remedies contain a very small amount of flower material in a 50:50 solution of water and brandy. Interestingly enough, since the remedies are extremely diluted they do not have the scent or taste of the plant. Bach Flower Remedies are said to have the energetic nature of a specific flower, which in turn is transferred to the person who is taking the remedy. There are 38 Bach Flower Remedies (below) that are separated into the 7 emotional groups (above).

Cherry Plum
Chestnut Bud
Crab Apple
Red Chestnut

Pattern of Imbalance - For those who wear a mask of cheerfulness to hide the emotional pain.

In Dr. Edward Bach's words . . . "The jovial, cheerful, humorous people who love peace and are distressed by argument or quarrel, to avoid which they will agree to give up much. Though generally they have troubles and are tormented and restless and worried in mind or in body, they hide their cares behind their humor and jesting and are considered very good friends to know. They often take alcohol or drugs in excess, to stimulate them and help themselves bear their trials with cheerfulness."

Sufferers may often be afraid to tell their trouble to others."

So as to be able to be more tolerant, lenient and understanding of the different way each individual and all things are working to their own perfection."

Their wish so grows upon them that they become more servants than willing helpers. Their good nature leads them to do more than their own share of work, and in so doing they may neglect their own particular mission in life."

In both types they are anxious to be free from the one particular thing which is greatest in their minds and which seems so essential to them that it should be cured.
