Father, today's reading below shows Jesus bringing a 'revelation' to Nathanael that helps him begin connecting the spiritual dots. Nathanael who was open to spiritual understanding and enLightenment was tagging along with Philip when Jesus saw Nathanael and immediately knew the type of person he was. Nathanael was floored that Jesus could know him when he had never even met Him prior to this meeting. But isn't that why Nathanael went to this gathering in the first place, to gain some sort of spiritual understanding or enLightenment? Then in not so many words Jesus basically says, "Hey you ain't seen nothin' yet." Then Jesus goes on to tell him what he will see in the future. Nathanael probably believed that everything happens for a reason, but then freaked out when something (like this meeting with Jesus) happened for a reason. This understanding and enLightenment given to Nathanael was for him to take somewhere else and be an instrument of Your peace and Love.
This causes me to take a stronger look at my Life to see if I am living a more physical existence or a more spiritual existence. As a being who is both physical and spirit, sometimes I do live more physically than spiritually. Sometimes I am more concerned about the visible world, which I can see, rather than invisible world that I profess to believe. Thank You for this clear awareness that I need to work harder at allowing my spiritual being to animate and operate my physical being instead of vice versa. Simply because I came from You first, before I was ever a physical body, I am spirit first and foremost. Utilizing my spiritual self is my ancestral line and connection directly to You. Thank You for this awareness and for reminding me that things do happen for a reason.

John 1:47-51
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him and said of him, "Here is a true Israelite. There is no duplicity in him."
48 Nathanael said to Him, "How do you know me?" Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree."
49 Nathanael answered Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel."
50 Jesus answered and said to him, "Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this."
51 And He said to him, "Amen, amen, I say to you, you will see the sky opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."
