Father, there are times when my willingness to help others in a time of need is lacking. I don't know why I do this and I offer no excuse. It could be shear laziness, not wanting to get involved, maybe because I'm too busy with my own needs and maybe its just selfishness. As I think about this lack of attention and respect toward others, including strangers, it has made me think more about how far I am willing to help those who are closest to me and those that I Love, including my friends and family. So often we hear, "If you need anything, give me a call." People who are in such desperate or lonely need are less likely to reach out and I know that, thereby making them less likely to reach out to me and then I'm off the hook of helping. It is me who should take it upon myself to make the call or connection or just show up and help. I should just show up! Father, help me to become the Loving and kind person that You made me to be and help me to see your "I AM" presence in every person who I come in contact with on my spiritual progression path. Please bless me to be a more helpful, empathetic and caring person. I now realize that when I wait to be asked, then I have waited too long. I also know when I have 'not' done to the least of those around me, I have also done to You. As Jesus said, "The first will be last and the last will be first." We should all be treating each other equally and as we wish to be treated. Please bless me, to be more attentive toward humanity and to move through my Life with grace and humility.
Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face, I thank You for this awareness. Amen~
