For a more enriching experience,
go down on your knees to pray or take it one step further
and prostrate yourself (lay face down) on the floor while praying.
Father, today's reading below reminds me to always work for You before I work for anyone or anything else. The question and answer session between Jesus and Peter reveals that Jesus was opening Peter up to his True potential knowing He was putting Peter in charge after He transcended. Jesus knew what Peter was capable of and what Peter would do for the sake of Love for Him. Peter was on his Love game. Father, I choose to follow You. Everything that I think, do and say I want to be motivated and inspired by You. I am opening myself up to everything You created me to be. I am on my Love game too. I know when I am the best I can be, this glorifies Your Name. It's all about You. Thank You for this awareness today.
Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face, I thank You for this awareness. Amen~
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John
John 21:15-19
15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you Love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I Love You." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
16 He then said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you Love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I Love You." He said to him, "Tend my sheep."
17 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you Love Me?" Peter was distressed that He had said to him a third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to Him, "Lord, You know everything; You know that I Love You." (Jesus) said to him, "Feed my sheep."
18 "Amen, amen, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to dress yourself and go where you wanted; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go."
19 He said this signifying by what kind of death He would glorify God. And when He had said this, He said to him, "Follow me."
