Father, we live in a society where it is now so easy to quickly find information that knowledge has become a competitive sport of rote memorization and regurgitation of information. Curiosity, contemplation and asking questions in a general conversation is losing form. Things have not changed much since Jesus' days of talking to the masses who could not accept any other thinking or reasoning except their own. Before contemplating any other possibility, they had to make Jesus wrong. In their need to be right, they missed Wisdom standing right in front of them. I can't help but think what a wonderful conversation it would have been if they would have just asked Jesus a few questions and thought about His answers before needing to make Him wrong and themselves right. This happens everyday in my Life, not only when I run into someone who needs to be right but when I have the need to fill my ego with rightness and righteousness. Thank You for Your Wisdom. I am listening to You and taking You all in, knowing full well that You are appearing right before my eyes this minute, in this writing, just as Jesus appeared right before the eyes of the people. Here You are, here I am and I am tuning in.
Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face, I thank You for this awareness. Amen~
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John
John 8:21-30
21 Again He said to them, "I go away, and you will seek Me and die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot come."
22 Then said the Jews, "Will He kill himself, since He says, `Where I am going, you cannot come'?"
23 He said to them, "You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world.
24 I told you that you would die in your sins, for you will die in your sins unless you believe that I am He."
25 They said to Him, "Who are you?" Jesus said to them, "Even what I have told you from the beginning.
26 I have much to say about you and much to judge; but He who sent Me is True, and I declare to the world what I have heard from Him."
27 They did not understand that He spoke to them of the Father.
28 So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing on my own authority but speak thus as the Father taught Me.
29 And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do what is pleasing to Him."
30 As He spoke thus, many believed in Him.
