How heavy is my yoke and how do I carry it?
"The yoke you wear determines the burden you bear."
~Edwin Louis Cole
I liberate my spirit and choose the Lighter path.
For a more enriching experience, go down on your knees to pray or take it one step further and prostrate yourself (lay face down) on the floor while praying.
Father, thank You for such a wonderful gentle reminder to lean on you when I cannot be strong. It brings me such peacefulness to remember that Jesus' yoke is lighter than a feather and He can handle anything, even the things that I cannot handle or stand to bear. It is nothing for Him to take these things upon Himself. Yokes were made to fit perfectly to the oxen and I understand how Jesus' yoke was created solely to fit Him. His yoke was made to bear the weight of the world, including my sins and burdens. Thank You again Father for reminding me that I do have somewhere to turn, I do have someone to turn to and I can rid myself of burden and sin by simply handing it over to Jesus. I LOVE YOU!
Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face, I thank You for this awareness. Amen~
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew
Matthew 11:28-30
28 "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For My yoke is easy, and my burden is Light."
