Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is a real term used in healthcare that refers to daily basic self-care activities in an individual's residence, outdoor environment or both. The ability or inability that an individual performs their ADLs is a measure of the functional status of the individual, particularly the injured, those with disabilities and the elderly. Very young children require assistance from adults to perform ADLs since they have not yet developed the skills necessary to perform ADLs on their own.
Basic ADLs (bADLs) are the things we normally do such as bathing, dressing, feeding ourselves, functional mobility, personal hygiene and grooming. Instrumental ADLs (iADLs) are things such as housework, money management, preparing meals, shopping and work.
Sometimes it is necessary to review the rules of kindergarten to remember how to be nice to others and use Good manners. And sometimes we just need to go back to the basics of the 'Activities of Daily Living' in order to take better care of ourselves and start living Life rightly.

When you need some time to think, walk around the house and wipe down everything that everyone in the house touches regularly. The refrigerator door handle. The bathroom door handle. The remote control(s). Light switches. Etc.
Do you have a workout buddy and if so, when is the last time you checked in with them? You don't have to workout together to have a workout buddy. When you commit together, then you are in-it together and hold each other accountable.
Whether it is hand-held workout equipment or a load of children's toys, they need to be washed. Fill up the tub with hot soapy water and give them a Good soak. Use the shower to rinse them. I have even put bigger silk plants in the shower and given them a Good spray down. They can also sit in there and dry too.
You are going to save massive amounts of money in the long run and in the short run when you put your healthcare first. Putting your health first will impact your expenditures in all areas when you think about it. Make a list of money savings when you put your health first.
If it isn't working for you, then stop doing it. There is a huge difference between challenging yourself and working toward a goal and continuing to do something that is clearly not working for you. If you run into a snag and just need to stop for the time being, then stop and take a time out. This can be work, relationships, money, etc. It works for everything! Pushing when the energy is saying, "Stop" would be counter-productive. So, if it isn't working for you, then stop doing it."
