Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is a real term used in healthcare that refers to daily basic self-care activities in an individual's residence, outdoor environment or both. The ability or inability that an individual performs their ADLs is a measure of the functional status of the individual, particularly the injured, those with disabilities and the elderly. Very young children require assistance from adults to perform ADLs since they have not yet developed the skills necessary to perform ADLs on their own.
Basic ADLs (bADLs) are the things we normally do such as bathing, dressing, feeding ourselves, functional mobility, personal hygiene and grooming. Instrumental ADLs (iADLs) are things such as housework, money management, preparing meals, shopping and work.

Tendons attach muscles to bone. A muscle has to cross a joint (by way of its tendon) in order to move the bones. Hold up your index finger and watch yourself move it. You cannot even reach for something without a muscle contracting and then the tendon pulling on the joint. Give your bones some Love by stretching your tendons and exercising your muscles. |
An easy way to clean your blinds is taking them down and putting them in the bathtub. You can let them soak in warm sudsy water and a cup of vinegar for just an hour and that should get quite a bit of dust off of them. Then you can just drain the tub and let them shower rinse them. |
Albert Einstein said, "You can't fix a problem with the same energy that created it." If you are having money issues, creating more debt by spending or borrowing will not fix it. Now here I am talking to you. |
There is no successful person on the planet who only put in 8 hours a day and then called it a day. Truly successful people whether that is in art, music, technology, crafts, clothing, real estate or any other interest, will have put in hours that include day and night, day in and day out. Truly successful people do not know how to stop and they would certainly never quit. |
I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) for just about everything. I put a little in my hands and run it through my hair, I use a little in my bathwater, I use a little as a lotion and I also drink 1 Tbsp in the morning and 1 Tbsp in the evening. I have a very low fat diet and this is a great way to get my Good fat. If I know that I'm going to cook with Olive Oil, then I will skip 1 Tbsp. on that day. |
