Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is a real term used in healthcare that refers to daily basic self-care activities in an individual's residence, outdoor environment or both. The ability or inability that an individual performs their ADLs is a measure of the functional status of the individual, particularly the injured, those with disabilities and the elderly. Very young children require assistance from adults to perform ADLs since they have not yet developed the skills necessary to perform ADLs on their own.
Basic ADLs (bADLs) are the things we normally do such as bathing, dressing, feeding ourselves, functional mobility, personal hygiene and grooming. Instrumental ADLs (iADLs) are things such as housework, money management, preparing meals, shopping and work.

If you are short on time or too tired to exercise, you can stand in front of the TV and march in place for 15 minutes during one of your favorite shows. You can still be mindless and march in place at the same time. |
Items under and around the bed can limit your travel and scramble your brain during sleep. It's Feng Shui. And by all means, no shoes on the bed. The least amount of stuff you have under and around your bed during sleep, including side tables, the better. Use 30 minutes today to declutter your bedroom. |
Check your tires to make sure they are properly inflated. This will give you better gas mileage. The inside of your door usually has the ideal PSI (that's pounds per square inch) for your tires, which will guide you as you are filling your tires with air at the gas station. |
Identify what drains your time and then put a plug in it. Everyone has 'free will' and you get to say - who, what, when, where, why and how much. Self-limitation and self-discipline will probably feel better than the Universe implementing a plug for you. |
Look up recipes to make your own trail mix, breakfast bars, fiber bars and protein bars. These foods can cost a lot of money, lack a lot of flavor and end up costing you a lot of calories. Take 15 minutes to research homemade snack bars. |
