Basic Prep 10 minutes - Ready in 10 minutes
INGREDIENTS
1 stick unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, crushed and minced fine (1 garlic clove = 1/2 tsp. minced garlic)
1 Tbsp. fresh chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. white pepper (You can use black pepper if you like)
1/4 tsp. Himalayan Salt (I just like Himalayan salt better, use regular salt if you like)
Put the butter in a bowl and leave sit at room temperature until it is soft. Add all the other ingredients and combine thoroughly. I actually use about 5 garlic cloves but I like things ultra-nuclear garlicy. "HI." You can mix in the bowl or use a mini food processor. I'm a Gemini and we like miniature things, so when I can use my mini food processor, I do. You can use black pepper if you like, the white pepper is simply pepper than has had the outer shell removed. This is more aesthetically pleasing to the eye and there would be no black dots in the butter. I use white pepper just because I like 'the proper tool for the proper job'. I'm just like that.
Plop the butter mixture on to a square of wax paper. Shape the butter mixture into a log and then put it in the freezer exposed for about 5 or 10 minutes. This will harden the mixture a little and then you can shape the log into a regular looking butter stick by using the sides of the wax paper.
Refrigerate the butter. When you are ready to use it, slice it as you would any other butter stick. In the pictures below you can see that I doubled the recipe.
I use this garlic butter on steaks, sweet potatoes, steamed vegetables and anything else that I want to be finger lickin' Good. We have steak one night a week, usually on Monday nights, because I like to start the week off on a happy and celebratory note. After I grill the steak for 3 to 3-1/2 minutes on each side, then I will place the steak on several slices of the garlic butter in aluminum foil and then wrap it up for about 5 minutes. Talk about juicy! I mean it is juicy succulent yummy tasting! Mmmmmmmmm, and the juice runs into the sweet potato and vegetables. Mmmmmmmmm, Mmmmmm, Good!
