AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Sometimes I feel the need to gently remind my wonderful website clickers that I am a one-woman-show. Those who have been with me for quite some time know that I do get behind in writing the horoscopes every now and then. Please keep in mind that no one writes the Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly Horoscopes or Natal Charts for me. I write every single word on this site. All of the horoscopes written on this website are all original and I do take them seriously. In other words, I do not computer generate them; I write them.

YOWZA! I receive visitors from a minimum of 140 countries per day, so it can be quite a challenge to maintain a personal Life separate from my professional Life with a website that is open 24 hours a day. I typically answer 450 - 500 legitimate e-mails a day from the message center, most of which are health care questions and concerns. This is one reason why I ask that you not put me on any of your forwarded e-mail lists of jokes and stories. I also field a generous amount of phone calls from my visitors. The phone number of which is posted at the top of this website. Then there is also my travel schedule. Thank God I can take this mega-mondo computer wherever my butterfly wings take me.

Every so often I will receive an e-mail from someone that says,
"Your website is a day behind. Please update your site!"

Having said all of that, I think it is important to know this little piece of information about me. Because many of my clients have some type of emergence in their question or they may be standing at the edge of a difficult day or even on the brink of heartbreak . . . I will ALWAYS answer my phone before I write a single line on the horoscope page. I will ALWAYS take a reading or health consult at the last minute before I write a single line on the horoscope page and I will ALWAYS take a phone call from a TYS e-Course student before I write a single line on the horoscope page. Remember, I am a one-woman-show!

Please keep in mind that even though I take the daily horoscopes seriously, they are a general horoscope for each Sun Sign. There is no way any astrologer on the planet could write a personal daily horoscope for each person on the planet because that would involve knowing your birth time, birth location and birth date. If you are looking for personal daily horoscopes for your specific birth information, that is the same as getting your Transits and Progressions which you can find on the website under the Holistic Shop button.

And if you call, I really do answer my own phone. (smiles) As I always say, "If I answer you have not interrupted me. If I do not answer, leave your name and phone number and a few choice times to return your call and I will call you back as soon as possible." Incidentally, I do return calls rather quickly.

Check out the Spiritual Progression Path.

Are You In The TYS e-Course?

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Mercury Has Finally Gone Direct

In other words, the illusion of Mercury setting back this Gemini is over. Thank God! Even I get smacked with illusions. The horoscopes will be updated before Monday morning.

For those of you who are taking my TYS (Treat Yourself SPECIAL) online e-Course. I feel the need to remind you not to skip ahead in the workbooks. In other words, finish one page before beginning another. There is a specific reason why I wrote the workbooks in the way that I did. Further, every single page that you work on should ALWAYS remind you of what you wrote on page 5 in the Session 1 - Spiritual Involvement.

You may find as you move through each session that your answers on page 5 of Session 1 have changed. Well Hallelujah!!! If that happens, then go back, make that "firm stance of a change" . . pat yourself on the back for recognizing the change . . . call me and share if you like . . . and then you "get to" practice it.

Also, I have been asked by several people which bath salt they should choose while going through the TYS e-Course. Keep in mind this is purely optional. There are 40 different baths and 7 different colors. If you notice, the color of the bath salts and the color of each session in the TYS e-Course are in alignment with the 7 color chakra's. Choose the bath that resonates with your most serious issue at the time. When it comes to color, you can match the bath color to the TYS session or read through the 7 color chakra's to help you determine which color would be best for you.

And remember, those in the TYS e-Course even if I have posted at the top of this website that the phone line is closed, go ahead and call me anyway if you have a question or if you run into an awareness that has left you confused, sad or angry (it happens). Leave a message and I will call you back. (If you live outside of the U.S., then you will have to call me back). If you are ready, willing and able to work on yourself, then I will be more than happy to help you. I know this online e-Course can twist your mind and give you profound insight at the strangest moment, especially when you are serious about change.

I'm here!

Pisces And The Scary Javelina Pig!

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

I am traveling today, which is the reason for the re-posting. I will get caught up this weekend, once I am back in St. Louis.

I'm still here in wonderfully warm San Antonio, Texas! Where I live in St. Louis, it is a lifestyle of walking and bicycling on a daily basis. The things I normally have to watch out for while adventuring out is the usual city bus or some self-absorbed joker running a red light when I have the right of way.

Yesterday I was feeling the loss of movement in my legs and the need to move my chi', so I went for a long 8-mile walk, which was originally planned at 5 miles. I was shocked to witness how easily startled I had become as I was iPod-ing along. A friend of mine could not resist telling me about Javelina wild pigs, scorpions and snakes running around the Texas desert. I walked with one earpiece listening to iTunes and the other earpiece I left hanging so I could tune into the unexpected charging Javelina pig. I found myself jumping at every little sound.

I remember explaining to a client one day how I use fear to my advantage. I said, "Instead of using fear to hold me back, I use fear to push me forward. In other words, I would be too afraid not to do something because of fear." So there I was entertaining the fear of a Javelina pig. Rabbits and roadrunners were scrambling around the dry desert shrubs and the more noise I heard, the more fearful I became. I knew a Javelina pig was near and would chase me. Hmmmm . . I did have my running shoes on. I recalled Native American Animal Medicine and what the rabbits represented and pressed forward. I wanted to go back, all because of the scary pig story.

Then I thought of my Natal Chart and why was I so willing to embrace all of this fear. I remembered that I have 2 planetary placements in Pisces (Chiron and the South Node). Dang! Here I go again dealing with that South Node in the Texas desert. Wasn't this just suppose to be about water like when I was in Florida. No, the South Node for me is about everything Pisces, including the fear factor! Pisces is THE MOST fearful sign of the zodiac, so it naturally makes me fearful. I know, I can't hardly believe it myself, but I have indeed learned how to channel my fears into productive energy instead of useless energy.

Everyone has Pisces somewhere in their Natal Chart. Actually you have each of the 12 sun signs in your Natal Chart somewhere. One of the 12 signs will sit on each of your house cusps. Believe it or not, my Pisces rules the 10th house of career in my Natal Chart while the planetary placements are situated in the 9th house of higher education. Dang! Two houses involved with Pisces for me. (Higher education and career, so don't think for a second it has been easy.)

If you know a Pisces, notice how they usually say "No" before they say "Yes." They are the Doubting Thomas' of the zodiac because they flip-flop like a fish on a dry dock when it comes to making decisions. And when they drive, they overshoot the turn, back up and drive several miles out of their way because they are two fish swimming in different directions. Whatever house Pisces rules in your Natal Chart is the Pisces energy you will have in that house. Now there are wonderful things about Pisces and that is compassion, sensitivity, empathy, strong intuition and strong belief systems, which I most certainly use in my 10th house of career. That wonderful Pisces energy comes in very handy in my line of work. But, we are talking about fear right now.

Whenever you run into fear of any kind, look at the fear as doubt because whatever you fear has not even happened yet. Doubt comes in two forms: 1) Doubt due to the fear factor or . . . 2) Doubt due to your intuition telling you a different path or choice to take.

As for my walk and the scary Javelina pig? I pressed on, I did not turn back and walked 3 miles further than I had intended. It's all Good when you press on and push past the fear.

Drops of Jupiter

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Greetings from San Antonio, Texas! Yippee! It's warming up and I'm a Happy Camper!

Back on February 28th I wrote to you about waking up with a song in my head and dreaming a certain dream. The jest of the message was about dream interpretation. I usually do not know what I will write to you about until I wake up with a thought or song in my head. I wrote about how I believe angels to speak us while we dream.

"For God speaks once, yea twice, yet man perceives it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, in slumber upon the bed; then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction." Job 33:14-16

This morning I woke up hearing one of my favorite songs, "Drops of Jupiter by Train," and the symbol I saw in my head was the planet Jupiter. Right now Scorpio is reaping the benefits of the ever-expansive and abundant planet Jupiter. Actually everyone reaps Jupiter benefits somewhere in their Natal Chart. Scorpio's just happen to get the full benefit package. You may read through other sources that Jupiter is 'lucky.' Since I do not believe in luck, I prefer to say that Jupiter is the planet of 'extra blessings.' Either you believe things happen for a reason or not and reason-ing is not part of luck. So there!

This very minute Jupiter is moving through the sign of Scorpio. Now all of you Scorpio's out there can walk blindly, feeling your way around or you can jump on a Good thing when you see it. When Jupiter moves through your sign, opportunities will show up in the most fascinating ways. Everything increases with Jupiter present in your sign because Jupiter is expansive.

A gentle word of caution to you Scorpio's, this means that your body may also expand. Oh yes, everything e-x-p-a-n-d-s! You may create more money in your Life, get a raise, start your own Company, you may get a bigger car, another car, a bigger house, a bigger apartment, another house, begin a new relationship, get married, have a baby, have another baby and there is more. If you are going to court, the court is in your favor. It's all in your favor through November 23, 2006. If you get an inckling to settle out of court, then do it! Naturally in a Natal Chart there may be aspects that may not bless you like another Scorpio, but then again, when you know those aspects, they can be overcome. Yippee!!!

For everyone else, Jupiter is moving through the house where your Scorpio rules that house. My 5th house is ruled by Scorpio; since this house is the house of play, naturally I will take advantage of any opportunities that come through play, fun, sport and pleasurable activities.

Settling For Less

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Greetings from San Antonio, Texas! I Love it out here! Okay, the weather has not been as warm as I would like, but I still Love it out here!

As I was writing the Spiritual Progression Path this morning it reminded me of the days when I was treating patients in a clinical setting. My thoughts reverted back to when my career path suddenly morphed into something bigger, better and more. And if there is one thing I can honestly say is that I have always been into - bigger, better and more.

I remember looking into the eyes of one patient in particular, tilting my head with my serious Gemini question mark in it and gently asking her, "What are you doing?" As she burst into huge sobs and hiccups, I just held my question mark until she was through and we could discuss the real issue. She came in with back pain, but I knew exactly where the pain in her #@%!& originated. I wanted her to hunger for bigger, better and more and stop settling. Her body was already in a weakened state due to this personal issue and before the back pain ever revealed itself on a physical level. This was no else's fault, there was no one to blame and frankly no one to forgive. She chose! She settled!

When we 'settle' in Life, it just baffles my brain to no end. And why do we do it? We have a million and one half dozen excuses, most of which are attached to being a martyr. YUCK! Think about it because it is one ugly word that we all have to admit to sooner or later.

If you are settling in a job or relationship that you cannot stand, believe me, the Universe will create circumstances that will kick your rear-end out of there if you refuse to embrace your true mission, purpose or coupling in Life. And that kick will be ugly! However you have to learn the lesson is exactly the way it will look. There are plant closings, down-sizings, firings and lay-offs all the time. And you think those are on accident? Do you think things happen for a reason or not? Either you believe it, or you don't. Some of us will choose to go on to the next flash-in-the-pan job or relationship until the Universe decides a swift kick in the booty is necessary again. Okie dokie! It's your Life.

While gutting, stumbling and slobbering along my spiritual progression path, there is one thing I can always say I wanted and that was BIGGER, BETTER AND MORE. Holding on to that is what kept me from losing my mind and pushing myself forward. And let me tell you something, a Gemini's biggest fear is losing their mind because Gemini rules the mind.

I beg of you, please stop blaming and shaming others for your choices in Life. You chose! Your choice comes with consequence - Good, bad or indifferent. There comes a point in your Life as an adult, fully capable of making adult decisions and when blaming your parents or former-spouse no longer works. The hatred, the lack of forgiveness, the merciless attitude will not get you to the place that you need to or desire to be. It just won't. Go ahead and test the system. You may be 'given to' but just remember, it can be taken back if you need to learn something. And these lessons are typically based on forgiveness.

If you are one of those that say, "I will forgive but I will never forget." . . . my question mark is, "So where is the forgiveness?"

How Does The Moon Influence Relationships

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

I apologize about the daily horoscopes over the past few days. I will get caught up as soon as I can. It was a busy weekend.

Cold weather does not mix well with my blood; in fact, I always say, "I can't stand the cold weather but the winter outfits sure are cute." Having a cold Capricorn Moon like mine you would think that winter weather would resonate with my spirit and I would be less whiney about being chilled. It does not work that way.

One of the best things you can do for those you Love is get to know your Moon in your Natal Chart. Practice being who you are, which includes working with your emotions because the Moon rules your emotions. Once you tame that rascal (Moon), suddenly Love will be in the air because you are no longer denying who you are to yourself . . . or denying yourself to the person you desire to Love. Think about this because if you deny 'you to them', then they deny 'them to you' and however that manifests for you in the physical world then okie dokie . . . it is what it is.

For instance, those of us who have a cold Capricorn Moon have what I call a very sobering Moon. Take the ending scene in the movie Steel Magnolia's when Sally Field loses her wits and breaks down sobbing and then all of the sudden she snaps herself back to reality and says, "I gotta go, I gotta go now, I gotta go." A Capricorn Moon will do that, especially for those of us who are fairly emotional or sensitive due to our Rising Sign. (That would be me with Cancer Rising!)

The Moon in your Natal Chart also describes your mother. Both my mom and dad were in the Army (Yes, my mom really did wear combat boots!) and she ran a fairly tight ship handling six silly kids. If you were 5 minutes past curfew, then you were grounded because you should have left earlier. Thank God she is also a Cancer, which still makes her a softy.

If I have written a Natal Chart for you, then there is extensive information in your chart about this Moon. This does not mean that you would not use the qualities of the Moon if they seem a bit harsh. What you do is channel the energy just like channeling aggressive Mars that I wrote about last Friday. Sure you would use the aggressiveness, only in a productive manner.

My Capricorn Moon comes in very handy in my line of work. I have to keep my wits, listen and ask the right question that will give you the desired result. Also, when under pressure or an emergency situation, I can stay pretty clear and focused. I am the gal you want in charge of the emergency door on an airplane. Couple that with my Mars in Leo and YOU KNOW I will lift that door. I would turn into Superwoman. I would be the last person to flip out.

Get to know your Natal Moon, work with it and do your best to understand your own emotions before you start complaining about someone else's emotions. Ouch! That was my Capricorn Moon talking.

Aggression and Mars

Osiyo' or 'Siyo~ [Hello in Cherokee]

Mars is the planet of aggression, so wherever Mars sits in your Natal Chart is where aggression will show up for you. When you use your Mars positively, Mars is courageous, strong, fearless, constructive, passionate, active, venturesome and daring. When negatively channeled, Mars will be irritable, forceful, impatient, destructive, combative and downright violent. It does not matter if you are the most meek and seemingly defenseless person in the world, you still have aggression just like anyone else.

Translation: Leo is THE MOST physically strong sign of the zodiac. If you want a mountain or a couch moved, then you call a Leo. Now add Mars to the mix and you have one incredible and physically strong individual. I happen to have Mars in Leo in my Natal Chart. My daughter always jokes about my physical strength. She says, "My mom can walk up 10 flights of stairs with a couch on her back." There is a phenomenal amount of energy and strength with this placement. In fact, I require minimal sleep and I am usually "ready to go" wherever "there" may lead.

The second strongest placement for Mars would be Mars in Scorpio because it taps into an area deep within the well of the human soul that other individuals without this placement may never access.

Those with Mars in Leo or Mars in Scorpio should 'never ever' hit anyone because they could severely injure someone in one blow. This is the same energy that boxer's want because the force behind one punch results in an automatic TKO (technical knock out). Those with Mars in Leo or Mars in Scorpio typically have eyes follow them when they walk into a room because of the heightened energy they possess. It is almost as if a huge gust of wind blew the doors off a room and everyone is holding on to their chairs and hats. Those with Mars in Leo or Mars in Scorpio are definitely not afraid to confront an issue and they are downright fearless. Challenge them and they will accept it.

Those with Mars in Pisces have the least favorable placement for Mars because they are the direct opposite of Mars in Leo or Scorpio. They do not like to confront anything and this usually results in unconscious resentment and repressed anger because they will not speak up. But, put them in the water and they become Olympic swimmers. This is where the aggression and strength will show up. In one of my five drowning experiences, I was actually saved by a Mars in Pisces.

Since Libra rules the 7th house of relationships, unions and marriages; those with Mars in Libra actively and aggressively seek marriage. These people want to be married for the emotional gratification it is meant to bring. PERIOD! They initiate social activity and need the approval and cooperation of others. They need to be noticed and more than anything, they need to be appreciated. Those with this placement who are not receiving emotional gratification in a relationship may have a squashed spirit.

Mars represents our most primitive urges and it is very important to channel your Mars energy into something that is productive, Loving and meaningful. If your Mars is in the 2nd house of money, then you will pursue financial gain aggressively, although you may also spend money impulsively. Mars is the 2nd house are typically entrepreneurs. If your Mars is in the 5th house of intimacy, then you will pursue Love, pleasure, romance and sex aggressively. There is also a strong tendency toward jealousy and impatience with Mars in the 5th house.

If I have written a Natal Chart for you, I have indicated keywords that describe Mars and the house that it affects.

What Is The Significance Age 29 And 58/59?

Osiyo' or 'Siyo~ [Hello in Cherokee]

Today and yesterday I am posting the same Retrograde information on the daily horoscopes. The phone calls and e-mails that I am receiving are reflecting the retrograde motion of Mercury right now until March 25th and bringing up the past. Many of you who I have written Natal Charts for who have e-mailed or phoned, we have talked about why the past is knocking on your door again.

Basically, if you have not learned from or dealt with the past, it will come back until you deal with it. Okie Dokie, if that is what you need, that is what you will get. This may be career, family, money or relationship issues. How does that make you feel? Yeah, I thought so.

During personal consults and intuitive readings, I may throw out an age that I know I need to tell you. Some of these ages I throw out are astrological ages that have bold and blatant impacts on your Life. Here is the deal on age 29. Saturn makes its way around again to the exact time and position it held when you were born. Saturn returns to this position in 29.46 years. That is why it is called a Saturn Return. Solar (Sun) Returns are annually and lunar (moon) returns are monthly. So annually we have our birthday and monthly we have . . uh oh . . don't say it Dr. Standley, don't say it. Oh yeah, men have periods too. And they think only women are whacked during that time???

I have already been 29, so I know how that feels. There is a reason why people go into "freak out" mode when they turn 29 and it is not about preparing to turn 30! It is the 29.46 year return of Saturn. Dah Dah Dun . . .

And guess what happens at age 58 or 59? Oh Look! Up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane . . IT'S SATURN! returning for the second time to see what you have been up to. Typically at this age there is reward for a job well done and or you will be slapped and spanked like a child. Saturn is authority, like a father, that is why Saturn represents your father in your Natal Chart. There are probably only three people on the planet who have not had a father issue at one time or another. And some people are still dealing with father issues.

I just Love studying the Natal Charts of President Bush and his father, former President Bush. Guess who is 59 and turning 60 on July 6, 1946. You got it! President Bush. He is in Saturn Return right now. The undertones in that relationship are like nails on a blackboard. Saturn is in Cancer (home and family) in his 12th house of the hidden realm. President Bush is a Cancer. Those tears he sheds . . they are real.

So back to Retrograde Motion. This is something that you will have to deal with or receive later in Life, usually after age 40. Depending on these Retrograde placements in your Natal Chart, will dictate whether you will be receiving or still learning. Keep in mind that your North and South Node are always retrograde. That's because we have stumble, fall and slobber on ourselves before we get something right. That is just human nature. We are all just God's little children messing up and making some bad Life decisions until we learn and promise not to do it again. Then we use our past decisions and create something very cool. That's the way this stuff works.

It Takes Practice To Be You

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Yesterday reminded me of when I was doing a caller driven radio show called, "And What Do You Think?" Notice how I just slid the Gemini (think) word in there. I am SO me! Basically every night was like open mike night and I never knew what someone was going to ask. The calls were never screened and sometimes my producer and I would look through the glass at each and just shake our heads. We touched on every subject you could imagine because the show was about community, national and global current events. If it made the headlines or nightly news, then it made my show.

When I answer the phone many times I hear, "Oh, uh, I didn't expect to get you." My response is, "Well who were you calling?" If you do not hear my voice, the sarcasm may not be too funny. It is my Capricorn Moon response. I always say, "If I answer the phone, you have not interrupted me. If I do not answer, please leave your name, number and a couple of good times to reach you and I will return your call as soon as possible."

The bottom line on all of these phone calls is always, "Why are you trying to be someone you are not?" There is a 50/50 balance in the phone calls between health care questions and explanation of medical tests and natal chart questions. Either way, the needed question seems to fly out of my mouth whether you wanted to hear it or not. I think you did, which is why you called.

When it comes to your Natal Chart, the best advice I can give you right now is to study yourself. Study those house cusps FIRST. I label the page "The Houses" and it is usually around page 20, 21 or 22 in your Natal Chart. For instance, I am a Cancer Rising so my personality really is like a Cancer. I am just about the hermitiest hermit you will ever run across. I live just like Cancer the Crab. My 4th house cusp is ruled by Virgo, so I am rather critical and nit-picky in the home environment. I don't just read this and say, "Yeah that's me." I read it and work with it to my advantage. I do not use my Virgo to boss others around, nag or criticize them. Certainly in my younger years I could see that.

I will write more in a little bit. My gypsy parents just arrived at my house and are trying to drag me out to play. I'll update the horoscopes in a bit. Family first for me. Now that just shows my Cancer Rising of home and family.

Addendum to the earlier Daily Message: As I was trying to say earlier before my gypsy parents showed up; read your Natal Chart and embrace who God created you to be. Certainly there are aspects of your personality and daily living that you will have to tame and channel into a productive and meaningful Life. Being you takes practice! I am serious! Practice being you and every house cusp that makes you, you! If you are a male or female, then practice being male or female in the form that you want it to look. Practice being your Rising Sign.

Here is something for you to mull over. My dad is a Pisces (my South Node) and my mom is a Cancer (my Rising Sign). Now those of you who I have written a Natal Chart for know exactly what this means. Do not think for a second that my Life did not take a bit of practice being me and working with a Natal Chart like that!

Remember . . being you takes practice. Tame yourself where the unattractive qualities show up and rechannel those energies into something very cool for yourself.

Your Natal Chart Is An X-Ray

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Yawn! This Gemini brain will not shut down. Still up at 4:00 a.m., and I keep hearing in my head the name "Roentgen" (pronounced Ranken). I get it! I understand the message loud and clear. It has to do with your Natal Chart.

Roentgenograph is another name for x-ray or radiograph named after the discoverer of the X-ray. Radiology (x-ray), Advanced Imaging (Ultrasound, CT, MRI, PET) and special applications of imaging were always my favorite study in school because it was a very black and white world.

It is what it is.

The Radiologist or Neuroradiologist would throw the image up on the glowing box in the dimly lit room, point with his detail finger and you had to be quick. Being closed off like a hermit (my Cancer Rising sign) in the tiny room (my shell) and reading images one after the other quickly turned into an enjoyable pastime for my detailed, perfectionist and methodical, North Node Virgo, self.

I read your Natal Charts in the same way as I would read a radiograph. To me, they look like x-ray's. It is what it is. I stare at the center of your Natal Chart where all those red, green and blue lines bounce off each other, then look at the house cusps and get a peek inside of you. While it may be easier for you to embrace your flattering qualities and even easier to deny those less than attractive qualities, it is what it is.

My astrologer would always say, "The chart doesn't lie, only the mouth." The same holds true in the science of Applied Kinesiology we always say, "The body doesn't lie, only the mouth."

If you have a Natal Chart that I wrote for you, then I have balanced your Natal Chart so that you know which Sun Signs are your strongest and which house they represent. You will find this page just after those 5 pages of graphics that I attach to your chart. I also balance your elements to help you find easier ways to tap into your intuition. Why would you not use your intuition? Your houses are balanced so that you know your houses of strength. Why would you not use your houses of strength? I even write it in the Natal Charts in capital letters.

Your Natal Chart is separated into four quadrants, with 3 houses in each quadrant since there are 12 houses total. I point out the strength of your quadrants. Why would you not use the quadrant of strength? Your hemispheres are also balanced and your strength is revealed. The hemispheres are merely the north, south, east and west side of your chart. And then of course there is your Lunar Phrase, which tells your souls motivation. That is huge! YOUR SOULS MOTIVATION! Read this and use it!

Make certain that you read those pages after the graphics I included in your Natal Chart. Use those strengths and be more than fully aware of any weaknesses.

As always, do not play yourself down, PLAY YOURSELF UP!

What Can Your North Node Do For You?

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Did you know that Mercury is retrograde until March 25th? See yesterday's Daily Message below this one for more information.

It appears from my most recent e-mails that I need to make another big push on the North Node. Follow your North Node in your Natal Chart because this is where you cannot fail. If I have written a Natal Chart for you, all of this information is in your Natal Chart.

USE YOUR NORTH NODE - IT IS ONE OF THE MOST SENSITIVE POINTS IN YOUR CHART!

The North Node is a powerful point in your Natal Chart. It can help you get to the place that you desire with the greatest of ease. You have to USE, WORK AND ENJOY your Natal Chart and the information rather than file it away. Just looking at your Natal Chart does you no Good unless you are willing to take action. It is just like the lottery, you cannot win if you do not play.

If you are looking at a Natal Chart that I wrote for you, the North and South Node glyphs are in BLACK. I have also written into your Natal Chart information that directs you on how to utilize this energy. Whatever sun sign and house your North Node is in, then use the "heck" out of that energy.

The North Node

For example, I AM a North Node Virgo, so I pay attention to the Virgo horoscope and use all the rulerships and tendencies of Virgo to my positive advantage coupled with my sun sign, Gemini. I also use the house that my North Node is in, which would be the 3rd house of communication.

Interestingly enough, both Virgo and Gemini are ruled by the planet Mercury, the planet of communication. Virgo naturally rules the 6th house of health, doctors and hygiene. Gemini naturally rules the 3rd house of communication and is known as the master communicator, writer, author, lecturer, teacher and also rules radio (broadcasting.) I had a radio show for 5 years!

Virgo rules the colon, gastro-intestinal system and solar plexus. I also did colonic hydrotherapy in my former clinic. Oh - you bet I use my North Node and it is ALL ON PURPOSE! Even when I do workshops, seminars, etc., I make certain it will be a time when the Moon is in Virgo or another strong planetary or lunar placement in my Natal Chart.

Virgo is also very detailed, methodical, nit-picky, perfectionistic and just downright critical with a keen sharp eye. Now take a peek at this website . . I can't stand typo's and I am a detail person. Basically my North Node Virgo makes me a severe Type-A and I Love it!!!

You can see how I have used my North Node (Virgo) coupled with my Sun Sign (Gemini) to become a doctor who writes, communicates, teaches and lectures through any media available to me. Yep! I certainly use that North Node!

Those of you who are North Node Virgo's or North Node Capricorn's should get into healthcare because you will make up a group of the best doctors on the planet. My favorite doctor on the planet is a North Node Capricorn. (winky wink) Study and live your North Node as if you were studying for a Life test.

What Is Retrograde Motion?

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Did you know that Mercury is retrograde until March 25th?

There is a very likely possibility that you were born with one or more planets in retrograde motion. Planets that are retrograde in your Natal Chart would account for why some things would come to you later in Life than others, such as; a fulfilling relationship or marriage, financial abundance, career opportunities, college, children, etc. If you have a retrograde planet in your Natal Chart, look up the retrograde planet in question on the planetary glyphs page and adopt the positive attributes of that planet. Easy Peasy!

Further, forwarded e-mails that warn people of Mercury retrograde are really irritating because they aren't providing accurate information. Retrograde Motion is symbolized by the glyph Rx next to a planet in your Natal Chart.

Retrograde Motion is misleading!

Retrograde motion is when it APPEARS as though a planet is actually moving in a backward motion due to the relation of the planet to the earth in its particular position at a certain point in time.

Retrograde Motion

Let's face it, planets are NEVER actually retrograde (moving backward) or stationary (stopped). This is a phenomenon due to the Sun casting a shadow on the planet making it appear as though it is stationary or that it is in retrograde motion.

Even when a planet "APPEARS" to be in retrograde motion its influence does not change, BUT your individual response to that particular influence of that planet may be different. Unless of course, you remember that this is merely an illusion. IT ISN'T REAL! Remember yesterday's Daily Message about illusions?

So how can you use retrograde motion to your advantage?

When a planet is said to be in retrograde motion, you can focus on the energy of the planet (like Mercury) and become more efficient in adopting its positive attributes. So when Mercury is said to be in retrograde motion and it appears communications are going to heck in a hand-basket, this is merely our response and not what actually is. Interestingly enough, Gemini and Virgo are most affected by this illusion in communication because they are naturally ruled by Mercury. Again, look up Mercury or the retrograde planet in question on the planetary glyphs page and adopt the positive attributes of that planet.

The Sun and Moon are never retrograde or stationary. The North and South Node are ALWAYS retrograde.

Illusions vs. Truth

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

I was sitting at my desk last night staring at my favorite picture, thinking about my path over the past five years and the signficance of 'timing.' I thought about the illusions I had experienced in order to help me get to the place that I desired to be. There is no doubt in my mind that I am on the path that leads in my desired direction.

When I speak of illusions, I am referring to those things that are simply untrue, self-delusional or just plain whacked out! We know the Truth. We know our own Truth. We know who we are and the desire in our heart. We do know. I have this secret little knack for getting people to say it outloud, whatever IT is. Your Sun in your Natal Chart tells you who you are! THAT is your identity and all of the wonderful things that go along with it. THAT is where you shine! You are so you!

Illusions are not real, yet we have to have them in order to challenge our character because we are fiesty human beings and we want to "Yeah but . . . " everything! Illusions are painful, and still, we continue to stand in the same place. Pain just fascinates me. Why do we do that to ourselves? Pain is a coward. It is the last thing to show up and the first thing to leave.

Look at where your Sun shines in your Natal Chart. Your Sun IS your identity. You are not a mistake, a surprise, an oops or even unwanted. You have the Breath of Life in you, which is evidence that you are suppose to be here. That is your Spiritual DNA that is coupled with your physical DNA. You cannot have one without the other. You were purposed by God, the One and Only. You are on purpose, deliberate and here!

Your Sun tells you exactly who God created you to be. It really is that simple and we make it hard on ourselves. What is up with that?!? For more information on how to use the Sun in your Natal Chart, see yesterday's message for an example on how I use my Sun.

Play Yourself Up! Not Down!

Osiyo' or 'Siyo~ [Hello in Cherokee]

Yesterday I wrote about my gypsy parents and their dual Sagittarius North Node. (posted below this message) I cannot tell you how important it is for you to study the Sun Sign that rules each house cusp AND to use that North Node. You cannot fail when you use your North Node unless you blatantly ignore it. Astrology is "free will" which is exactly why it is NOT predicting. If you eliminate "free will" then where is God because He gave you the "free will"? The tendency certainly leans one way and God still gives you the right to choose.

When God said that He will not give you more than you can bear and will make a way of escape, He meant it! The escape route is in the chart! Gees that is so cool! All of the Natal Charts that I write have detailed information on how to use your North Node and detailed cusp information. I'm a North Node Virgo (perfectionist, Type-A, detail) so I automatically load the Natal Charts with details.

I can do a reading for someone and point out the obvious gifts and opportunities; and still they will sit on it. I have done the same thing which is why I try to push you forward. I can describe Mr. or Miss Wonderful to someone and they will still turn right around and repeat the same type of bad relationship. Been there, done that one too. It is all choice until you decide the lesson is over. When you are through learning the same tired lesson, then you will change it on your own "free will."

It is okay if you do not have planets in certain houses. There are only so many planets to go around. Familiarize yourself with the Sun Signs that sit on your house cusps because that Sun Sign is who you are in that house. So play it up! If Leo rules my 2nd house of money, then why be anything else? If Capricorn rules my 7th house of relationships, then why try to be someone else? I mentioned in yesterday's message that my Sagittarius sits on the 6th house cusp. So I take a Sagittarius approach to work on purpose. It is so deliberate it is mind-blowing! Again, I am so me!

I do not play me down, I play me Up!

And that 12th house of the hidden realm that scares the britches off the strongest of men? Play it up! The house that your Sun occupies in your Natal Chart is where you shine and my Sun happens to shine in the 12th house of what cannot be seen. My Mercury, the planet of communication is also in the house of the hidden realm. Now how do you shine when it is an area that cannot be seen? And how does this Gemini, the master communicator of the zodiac choose to communicate when her planet of communication is in the hidden realm?

This 12th house reminds me of the scripture that says, "For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open." - Luke 8:17

In other words, if you do not bring this hidden realm out voluntarily, circumstances will fall into place that will force the issue. So again, I do not play me down, I play me up! This 12th house thing you have going on may be personal or it may be professional.

Rarely does anyone see me unless I take my show on the road for workshops, etc. My preference is behind this website where you cannot see me. My preference is behind my book where you cannot see me. My preference is behind a radio show microphone where you cannot see me. My preference is behind articles and writings where you cannot see me. My preference is behind the TYS e-Course where you cannot see me. My preference is behind phone health consults where you cannot see me. My preference is behind phone astro and intuitive readings where you cannot see me.

Check your 12th house cusp and see what Sun Sign rules it and play yourself up! If there are planets in there, read what I wrote about the tendency. If it calls for self-improvement, then you know what you need to do.

Sagittarius - The Gypsy Of The Zodiac

Osiyo' or 'Siyo~ [Hello in Cherokee]

The little picture today near my head is frybread. That's the Good stuff that we eat down on the reservation (Cherokee).

Okay, so I call my mom and dad a few minutes ago, mom picks up the phone and I gleefully yell, "Happy Anniversary!" Mom says, "It is? Oh it is! Jerry today's our anniversary!"

Dad says, "Oh it is? I forgot all about it and I've been plannin' for it."

Married today 49 years, I have what I call gypsy parents. They have a knack for driving off somewhere and ending up in Mississippi or Idaho. And you think I'm joking? This has nothing to do with their mental health, but has everything to do with their sense of adventure. Even though they had both forgotten it was their anniversary, I caught up with them heading out Highway 55 to go to an antique store in Southern Missouri. A typical phone call in my day would be my parents laughing loudly in the car, yelling over a tape from the Chuckwagon Gang in order to hear each other and having me guess where they ended up. "Um, I dunno dad, Phoenix?!?!"

My parents have strong Sagittarius in their chart with both their North Node in Sagittarius. And guess who is the gypsy of the zodiac? You got it, Sagittarius. Everyone has Sagittarius ruling one of their 12 houses. My Sagittarius rules my 6th house of work and health. Keep in mind that your 6th house is work and work ethic and the 10th house is career. These are two different things.

Being that I deliberately and purposefully live my Natal Chart and Sagittarius is in my 6th house of work and health, then it would also makes sense if I would adopt the gypsy nature of Sagittarius in this area of my chart. While Gemini is local travel and within ones own country, then Sagittarius as Gemini's opposite sign would be foreign travel. Sagittarius is global and worldly. This is exactly why I have chosen the worldly route for my house of work in the form of a website. Cool huh? It matches, it works, it always does when you deliberately use your Natal Chart.

Remember, you take on the nature of the sign that rules a particular house. I have written this into your Natal Chart. Just like your Rising Sign (1st house) dictates your personality. In my 1st house or Rising Sign, I am a Cancer. In my 2nd house of money and values, I am a Leo. In my 5th house of intimacy, creativity and children, I am Scorpio. In my 10th house of career and status, I am a Pisces. In my 12th house of the hidden realm, I am a Gemini.

Tomorrow I will write about the 12th house and the hidden realm. This house always scares the pants off everyone because it reveals a lot of information. Hey, my Sun happens to shine in that house. I have you know I resemble that statement. Until tomorrow . . .

Venus in Love and Relationships

Osiyo' or 'Siyo~ [Hello in Cherokee]

Now for a little Venus lesson, the planet of Love and beauty. We have been over this topic under the Daily Message before and according to my e-mails, the information bears repeating. Those who are honest with themselves will find Love and romance long before those who deny what they are really presenting to others.

In a female Natal Chart the Sun and Mars rule attractions. In a male Natal Chart the Moon and Venus rule attractions.

Therefore, a woman with her Mars in Leo will be attracted to a man with a very strong persona, reeks of masculinity and who is a leader in his field. He might even be a bit arrogant at times. He needs to be a double-strong man to hang out with a gal like her because she is strong too. Her man would have Leo qualities. He does not have to be a Leo Sun Sign because he might have other chart placements that reveal these attributes. (I have Mars in Leo).

And a man who has Venus in Libra will be attracted to a women who reveals her softer and feminine side to him. She's all woman and he Loves it, especially if she Loves him! He enjoys the flirting, affection and natural born beauty she reveals, especially if she takes very Good care of herself.

When it comes to Venus in your Natal Chart, Venus reveals how you 'express' Love and beauty. We say, planet in a sign. For instance, I have Venus in Aries. Aries rules sports, competition and is another brainiac sign of the zodiac along with Gemini and Aquarius. So while it does not mean that I would fall in Love with an Aries, it does describe how I express Love and what I thoroughly enjoy in Life. Keep in mind that Aries is very headstrong and they are go-getters who will stop at nothing to get the object of their desire. So a person with a Venus in Aries placement would pursue the things they Love ardently and aggressively much like the charging ram even if they have to beat their head against a brick wall. This placement is precisely why I am so competitive and why I do not fear striking out on my own. I would be more afraid NOT to pursue what I wanted rather than be afraid to pursue what I wanted.

Look at your Natal Chart and check out your Venus placement so you will see how you naturally express Love and beauty. If you have Venus in Capricorn, then this is someone who Loves to work so your partner would need to understand this and it would be great if they had work to focus on too. If they were clinging to you, that would probably tick you off. Capricorn is THE MOST materialistic sign so this is someone who would enjoy receiving trinkets. Same for Venus in Taurus. These two signs enjoy getting gifts and that is how they know they are Loved, when someone buys them something.

The point is, understand your Venus placement so that you know how you express Love, so that you can help your partner understand how you Love. Again, In a female Natal Chart the Sun and Mars rule attractions. In a male Natal Chart the Moon and Venus rule attractions.

Reminder to TYS e-Course Participants

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

I'm here!

What Are You Suppose To Do With Your Life?

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

One of my favorite quotes is my own, "Whatever you should be doing with your Life, you've been doing it your whole Life."

Actually, I take that back because that quote came through a DLG (Download from God), so I have to give credit where credit is due. I heard it from God, so I can tell you. One day I was praying while looking out the window at the crows cawing in the trees from my home office. I was praying about what I was suppose to be doing with my Life when I heard back, "Loretta, whatever you are suppose to be doing with your Life, you've been doing it your whole Life." Interestingly enough, I have been talking and communicating non-stop my entire Life, often times getting in trouble for something that I believed was my Gift from God. Hey! They don't call it the gift of gab for nothin'.

Since I have been a Gemini my 'whole Life' naturally I went into my natural state of agape mode (awe inspired wonderment) when I heard that DLG. Believe me, a quiet Gemini will cause people to ask, "What's wrong?" - "Is something wrong?" - "Why are you so quiet?" . . . That's because we are thinking!!! And by we, I mean me and the other me. How funny is that? I am so me!

In grade school I spent more than my fair share of time in the hallway writing sentences. I was a cheerleader, President of Student Council and even gave the morning and afternoon announcements over the 'loud' speaker. That's a shocker! During class when the teacher called upon a student for an answer, guess who they pointed to first? You got it, me! Honestly, I didn't care if I got the answer right or wrong because I got to talk.

Fast forward . . . down the road I started holding health lectures, began writing articles for several different holistic magazines, published my own Healthletter, I had my own "Dear Dr. Standley" column in another holistic magazine and I easily get my own radio show. In fact, I did not even seek it out; they came to me! And Gemini 'rules' communication, writing, radio and broadcasting. I am so me! I do not play down who I am, I play me Up!

Here's a little secret . . . having the most Freedom-Loving planet (Jupiter) in the most Freedom-Loving sign (Aquarius), and being limited in any way, shape or form will drive this Gemini out of her mind. And Gemini rules the mind! A stabilizing rock would not hurt me a bit, but limiting me on anything and you would see Gemini rebel in the middle of the grocery store! So limiting me on word count in those holistic magazines drove me bonkers! I was being shut up! Oh I can't stand that!

Back to the beginning . . . I heard back, "Loretta, whatever you are suppose to be doing with your Life, you've been doing it your whole Life." I remember standing in agape mode looking out the window and listening to the crows. I thought about how my gift of gab had shape-shifted in to many forms. And then it hit me! The crows! The cawing crows! In Native American Animal Medicine crows are shape-shifters. They can take a different shape and be two places at once. There are two of me. Me and Me (the Gemini twins). The quote, the crows, my gift . . . it was all coming together. I needed to start this website, write books and do whatever it takes for me to be here and there at the same time. While on the website, I'm also in the book. While holding a workshop, I'm also in the TYS (Treat Yourself SPECIAL) online e-Course. While on the phone with you, I'm also on website with you. I'm a shape-shifter which is in alignment with my twin nature! I am so me!

This website and my entire TYS (Treat Yourself SPECIAL) online e-Course is based on the quote I heard that day and my goal is to get you to say outloud, "Wow, I am so me!" and Love it when you say it. And guess who was the very first person to go through the course. You got it, ME!

"Whatever you are suppose to be doing with your Life, you've been doing it your whole Life."

What Do You Believe?

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

Last night when I arrived in St. Louis my daughter Karmen picked me up and brought me over to her house. Hearing my grandson "Big Tree" squeal when he heard my voice and run toward me was simply out of this world. He likes to run fast enough to go airborne and then knock the old lady over. I guess to him, I am old. Everything is so relative!

I have been on the road nearly non-stop since beginning of the year only checking in at home long enough to do laundry, repack for a different climate and head out again. When my son-in-law, Larry, dropped me off this morning and I walked through the door I said, "So this is where I live." The first thing I did was take care of some Feng Shui business such as light bulb changes and heavy dusting (I cannot stand dust) and then I sat in my comfey chair in my typical agape mode and let the cogwheels churn. Ah . . the smell of a clean, organized and dusted home. Okay, I just revealed my North Node Virgo with that kind of nature.

Back to traveling . . . the other day I was asked by a wonderful man, "Aren't you tired of traveling?" I have 'stood in the question' since he asked it and now I am prepared to answer it. My initial knee-jerk reaction was quite simply, "No" and it is still, "No." I do enjoy looking at who I am and wondering, "What the heck is up with me?"

I started 'thinking' about what am I attached to in terms of my possessions and who am I attached to in terms of people. What will bring me back home and what will take me away from home? What is my bottom line and what are the terms of my priorities? So the $10 million dollar question is really, "Are you standing in what you believe?"

I am just like anyone else working on me and challenging myself to stand in what I believe. I too am walking, stumbling, tripping and slobbering all over myself just trying to figure it all out. I meet a lot of people along my path and day after day I am still completely floored at their willingness to accept being unhappy. And I have done it myself over and over again until I decided not to do it anymore. I have at one time in my Life lived a miserable existence. Oh, I get it! I realized, it is my Life and I get to choose. God gives us 'Free Will' and the choice to be unhappy is ours. I choose to be happy. Unhappiness is voluntary and so is happiness. Nothing floors me more in Life than that awareness! I get you, which is why I do what I do. Am I tired of traveling? No, not at all because it makes me happy. (winky wink)

Only God is 100 percent! As fleshy human beings we are a spiritual being in a physical body animating ourselves about the planet just trying to figure it all out. Remember the 70/30 rule? I operate from the 70/30 and 30/70 scale just like the next person. In this way we can move toward 70 percent being absolutely wonderful and the other 30 percent accepting challenges that will build our fine character. There will always be 30 percent of something that needs improvement. Including relationships, money, career, etc. If you are in a relationship, job or financial situation that is 30/70, then obviously something needs to change so the flip-side is 70/30. And there is always room for improvement.

I dare you to choose to have a great Life. I double-dare you!

I Get-To Upgrade My Character

AudioOsda Sunalei [Good Morning in Cherokee]

I am still in Florida (Naples) until tonight when I will strap on my butterfly wings and finally fly home.

This IS my favorite time of year because I use it to challenge and upgrade my character. Today is the beginning of Lent and for all you Catholics out there, you know what that means . . . 40 days of repentance and soul-searching. It is a season of reflective thought and meditation on the Passion of Christ. You do not have to be Catholic to involve yourself in Lent. During this time 'we' Catholics (Surprise! yes I am Catholic) will observe Lent by depriving ourselves of something that is normally a temptation or something that would cause us to suffer or abstain from something that is not 'Christ-like' since we should all be striving to imitate The Christ. I do not mean 'suffer' in terms of pain, Christ already did that; I mean 'suffer' in terms of a challenge. During Lent, we have to be more conscious, aware and in 'thinking' mode. This is why on Fridays we Catholics will fast part of the day . . to abstain.

Oh - and the smudge of ashes that we will wear on our foreheads today are from the burned palm leaves that we had in our homes that we received on Palm Sunday last year. We give them back to the Church, they burn them and use the ashes to smudge our forehead. It is a sign of remorse, repentance, and mourning. Just like today someone might wear a black armband or black clothing to signify that they are in mourning. During that time in history, they wore ashes on the forehead. We Catholics are showing that we are in mourning of the Passion of Christ. It's quite sad when you think about because we all know what is coming. We have all probably known someone in our Life when we knew they were going die because of an illness. In this case, it is The Crucifixion.

The purpose of the calendar of 40 days is to relive the major events in Jesus’ life in real time, which is why Lent is forty days long. When you choose to give up something, there is no need to take on a braggadocious (bragging) attitude or posture. No one needs to see your 'suffering' except God.

When you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites. They neglect their appearance, so that they may appear to others to be fasting. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you may not appear to be fasting, except to your Father who is hidden. And your Father who sees what is hidden will repay you. - Matthew 6:16-18

My crew back home of about 20 friends will pile in a few cars and hit a different fish fry every Friday during this time and then head to Stations of the Cross, which is a walk of Christ's Life.

Again, whether you are Catholic or not, this is a perfect time for self-reflection and character building. And remember, Sunday's do not count during the 40 days because on Sunday - HE IS RISEN! He is Risen Indeed!
