What is it that I do (that when I do it) makes me favored?
"Haven't you proven to yourself time and time again which behaviors make you favored or unfavored?"
~Dr. Loretta Standley
My right and Good actions and reactions are what make me favored.
For a more enriching experience, go down on your knees to pray or take it one step further and prostrate yourself (lay face down) on the floor while praying.
Father, I know that I am capable of so much more than the energy that I have been putting out into the world. Sometimes I can be incredibly lethargic, uncaring and self-centered and then I choose not to accept all that You created me to be. Help me to snap out of it when I fall into these lazy patterns of thought. My desire is to serve You and do all things that glorify Your Name. Mary received not only a wonderful blessing from You but a huge responsibility as well, which was a result of her desire to please You and because of that, she was favored by You. Help me to live my fullest capability with the personal mission that You created for me.
Through Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood, Most Sacred Name and Most Holy Face, I thank You for this awareness. Amen~
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke
Luke 1:26-33
26 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 And he came to her and said, "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!"
29 But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be.
30 And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus.
32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to Him the throne of His father David,
33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His kingdom there will be no end."
